Check Out The First Official TMNT 2 Trailer

by Justin W

It hasn’t even been a full day since the teaser for the first  TMNT 2 trailer was released, and someone already released the full length trailer. What can I say? Shellheads aren’t typically the patient type. Speaking of which, who wants to see the new full length Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2 trailer? You’re already watching it, aren’t you? Yeah, I kind of figured as much.

Sharp eyed fans will note a few particularly interesting aspects about the trailer. First of all, it would appear that the title for the film will indeed be Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows. As we noted the other day, this is an odd choice for a title, because it has already been used for a TMNT game. It wasn’t a bad title for a video game, so I guess it’ll work just fine for the movie as well.

In addition to that interesting choice, did anyone else notice that there appeared to be some sort of unidentified flying objects (dare I say “alien” space craft) floating around? No, this doesn’t mean that the Ninja Turtles are now aliens, it just means that something foreign is flying over the city. For all we know, these flying vehicles could be the Krang making their way into our dimension! Heck, it was rumored that Krang would make an appearance in this film, and if this part of the trailer is any indication, that rumor may hold true.

As if the Krang weren’t good enough, we also get our first good look at Baxter Stockman, Rocksteady, Bebop and Casey Jones. All four look excellent, and the banter between the turtles and their foes works quite well. Unfortunately, the Ninja Turtles still look the same as they did in the first movie, and I know plenty of fans will be unhappy with this. Thankfully, they did do an excellent job with the design of every new main character, so hopefully everyone will give it a chance.

The general consensus I have heard from fans is that Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows genuinely looks like an improvement over the first movie. What do you think? Should they have spent more time working on the design of the TMNT? Are you excited to check out the sequel in 2016? Let us know in the comments below!

Its possible that those pieces flying around in the trailer, make up the Technodrome, They probably form together and make its shape.

Yes absolutely. Those drones are for sure alien life. It’s rumored Kraang will make an appearance finally.

Who asked for this? Why would anyone want this? This is worse then getting coal for Christmas, at least coal is good for something…

bebop and rocksteady look horrible
the design is not bad but the CGI – oh, man
bebop and rocksteady from 2012 series look better than this big budget movie

no they don’t. they look super weird in the show but in the movie they look accurate to the originals.

I think the show is more accurate to the originals
keep in mind, the 1987 show was made to promote toys and toys were made earlier than the show
in the original mirage comics, before the 1987 series started, there was an ad for those toys and rocksteady is described as a militant mutant rhino
but he never had this characteristic in any version of tmnt until 2012 series – he wore those camo pants but nothing more, him and bebop were pretty much the same character copied twice
but in 2012 series, they are both different characters with different personalities and for the first time, you can see that militant characteristic in rocksteady he was originally intended to have – he obviously has some military training and often uses heavy weaponry

but I have nothing against them being just dumb street thugs if it is done correctly – the IDW version of them is my second favorite
but regarding this trailer, I just don’t like the CGI, it looks too bad and reminds me of changes lucas made to original star wars movies (as I mention in comment above) – they just look too fake, since it is a live action movie and that CGI is really bad, they just don’t fit
in the show, it doesn’t matter, because it is all CGI, so they fit just fine

look, rocksteady has really always been accurate. the show however, features his least accurate representation but is still acceptable. bebop in the show however I consider to be incredibly inaccurate. he is far to thin and agile, and that tron suit really pushes him over the edge into inaccuracy. rocksteady in the new movie looks great and is a spot on representation of what rocksteady would look like in a live action film. Bebop in the movie I would consider a bit too large but still far, far more accurate than how he looks in the show.

I don’t know why but that song was just perfect for this trailer, it got me so hyped and the part where it shows the title logo is just awesome. I am really really excited and im sure kraang will be in it which will really add a lot to the movie. also I am just so impressed with the foot clan. they are sooooo much cooler and better

my main problem is that while the movie is live action, bebop and rocksteady look like cartoon characters, it just doesn’t fit
it looks like those stupid changes in original star wars movie, when they added CGI creatures in the background that didn’t fit at all in that environment
