Kevin Eastman and Peter Laird created the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles in 1984 and since then the four brothers have been featured in four films. Originally Eastman and Laird intended the comic book be made into a movie immediately but the comic series was too dark and gritty for any studios to pick up.
