Just when you thought that it was safe to go back down into the sewers to hang out with the guys…this happens!
DC Comics has announced a Batman / Turtles comic book crossover is slated for release this coming December 2015.
Here’s the synopsis from the DC Comics site for the issue:
“DC Comics and IDW team up for the crossover you never saw coming as two of the greatest entertainment icons meet for the first time! In Gotham City, a series of deadly raids leads Batman to believe he’s up against a group of highly trained ninjas known as the Foot Clan! Somehow, they’ve crossed over to another dimension and are determined to take advantage of the situation while looking to get back home. But they haven’t come alone: Leonardo, Raphael, Donatello and Michelangelo are hot on their trail. Get ready for excitement as heroes and villains from both worlds clash and team up in an epic battle that threatens the very fabric of reality!”
Batman/Turtles Mutant Ninja Turtles #1 will be written by James Tynion IV, and the inside art and first cover will be done by Freddie E. Williams II. Turtles co-creator Kevin Eastman will be offering fans and those with an interest in the crossover a special variant cover. And of course, there will be the obvious blank variant cover as well for the first Batman/Turtles crossover issue.
The issue will hit comic shops on December 9th, 2015. It will be 32 pages and the crossover is slated for 6 six issues only.
