Kevin Eastman Fan Club

Kevin Eastman co-created the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles with Peter Laird in 1984. Since then, both creators have taken breaks from the franchise at separate points. However, Kevin Eastman has been back collaborating and drawing for the IDW Publishing’s Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles comic series. Eastman has his own website, Kevin Eastman Studios, and for the especially dedicated Turtle fans, there is now the Kevin Eastman Fan Club.

The Kevin Eastman Fan Club

By signing up for the Kevin Eastman Fan Club, fans can access different and exclusive parts of Eastman’s website. For the general public, there is a wealth of free content available. Original artwork for sale, collectibles, art galleries, Eastman’s convention schedule, and new projects are all available to browse.

However, for Fan Club members, there is quite a bit more fun in store. By becoming a Fan Club member, you create a unique login account that grants access to exclusive parts of Eastman’s website. Some of the options available a members-only store (prints, artwork, and collectibles), a look at Eastman’s personal TMNT collection, and free digital downloads. Perhaps one of the most interesting things available for members is a free downloadable copy of Kevin Eastman’s Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Artobiography, which is a visual history packed with artwork and commentary from the perspective of Eastman. The Artobiography is similar to the TMNT Ultimate Visual History, but that book was from Laird’s perspective, so it is interesting to see Eastman’s commentary and artwork in this free download.

If you are a TMNT comic collector, you will be happy to hear there is even more reason to become a Kevin Eastman Fan Club member. IDW has begun publishing exclusive TMNT comic variants exclusively available through the Fan Club. So far, Issue #54, Issue #55, Issue #56, and likely more to come, have had exclusive stellar Team Eastman variants. These variants are limited to a print run of only 500, making them a special addition to any TMNT collection.

By signing up for the Fan Club, there is currently a promotion that grants new members the Issue #55 Fan Club variant. All members who sign up for the Fan Club receive a special Kevin Eastman Fan Club ID Card, which has your written name and printed ID number. Be aware that this ID card has Eastman’s printed signature on it…the card is not actually personally autographed by Eastman. Overall, the Fan Club is definitely a worthwhile investment. The cost to purchase a membership is instantly covered by the free comic variant and access to the Artobiography. There is plenty of content to browse, as well as unique items to purchase for collectors.

The Kevin Eastman Fan Club has two membership tiers, but the only difference is how long you are membership is active (the online store/website perks are the same for each tier):

Goongala! My name is Ian Gaudreau and for the past few years, TMNT has become a serious hobby of mine. I have been a fan of the Turtles since I was a kid, but I became attached to their fascinating comic book history. I am a huge comic book fan, and the Turtles are my all-time favorite story. My primary focus is the current IDW publishing run, but I am familiar with most TMNT iterations. My job here is to share all that I have learned and give you my insight and opinion to the monthly comic books! If you would like me to review something, I would love to know what it is!
