First Gokin Reveals Awesome Shredder Figure

When First Gokin revealed their Krang Android figure a few years ago, fans were absolutely blown away by the amazing level of detail. Without a doubt, the Mandroid figure was one of the nicest TMNT collectibles we had ever seen. At the time, we knew that they had plans for other figures based on the Ninja Turtles franchise, but they had yet to unveil what those plans were. Late last year, First Gokin revealed that their next offering would come in the form of Oroku Saki, known to many as the Shredder. Unfortunately, at that time we only received glimpses of what we could expect. Today, the full Shredder figure and all of its components have finally been revealed.

As you can see, this extremely detailed and very stylistic approach to Oroku Saki includes a variety of extras. Oddly enough, the extras included with this figure are all of the characteristic weapons that you can expect to find on the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. One has to wonder why they chose to include these weapons as an additional feature to go with a Shredder figure, but they still look really awesome nonetheless. In addition to the set of ninja weapons, it’s nice to see that Shredder’s helmet is removable and perfectly sized to fit atop the weapons rack.

It goes without saying that this isn’t the kind of toy that you play with. First Gokin is known for creating collectible action figures with many different points of articulation, allowing you to pose your Shredder figure in pretty much any manner you wish. This is intended as a display piece, and something tells me that fans of First Gokin’s Krang will be more than pleased with their take on Oroku Saki.

This Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles merchandise is currently available for pre-order and scheduled for a Q4 release this year. With a price tag of around $130, the First Gokin Shredder figure will definitely set you back a bit, but the quality of the product is definitely worth the price you’ll pay. Compared to other TMNT collectibles that are being released at around the same time, this is actually modestly priced. Even if you’re not interested in paying that high of a price for an action figure, you have to admit that this is probably the best that Shredder has ever looked in toy form.
