TMNT Toys Based On The Secret of the Ooze Coming Soon

We’ve been seeing a lot of action figures and statues based on the original TMNT movies as of late, and it looks like we’re about to get even more! This time around, the figures in question aren’t going to be as detailed, but they will be more affordable.

Coming from Playmates themselves, this line of Ninja Turtles action figures will be based on the movie Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles II: The Secret of the Ooze. Each figure has 34 points of articulation and comes in a collectible display box, giving collectors the freedom to decide if they want to pose their action figure outside of the box or keep the package sealed.

At an MSRP of just $19.99 each, these collectible TMNT action figures are much cheaper than similar options coming from NECA and Prime 1 Studios. Each TMNT figure will come with four different facial expressions, two weapons and a few accessories related to the film.

It’s clear that Playmates has learned from their previous attempts at collectibles, as these TMNT toys are far more customizable than their predecessors. The weapons and accessories provided with each figure relate directly to scenes from Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles II: The Secret of the Ooze, making them truly respectful representations of the turtles.

I bet you never expected to see a Donatello figure with a mop, did you? Or how about the sausage link nunchaku for Mikey? These are some truly awesome TMNT action figures, and they are sure to please the fans. Yes, it will cost a total of $80 for all four turtles, but that’s actually a pretty good price for everything that you get.

Imagine being able to recreate your favorite scenes from The Secret of the Ooze on your shelf with ease? That’s what these awesome Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles classic figures are all about, and I can’t wait to get my hands on them in the near future.

One has to wonder if the Secret of the Ooze action figures are being released in celebration of the 25th anniversary of the film, which officially took place just last week. Whatever the case may be, it’s nice to see some love for this classic Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movie!
