Sign This Petition to Bring TMNT 2k3 Series to DVD

Fans have been hoping for a proper release of this series for several years now, and they have been ignored for so long that many of them have all but given up home. Their hopes rose a bit when Nickelodeon picked up the franchise and created their very own Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles cartoon, but even then there was only a slim chance that Viacom would do anything with the 4Kids TMNT series. Since then, we’ve seen them put out a few re-releases of the original DVD sets for the TMNT 2k3 cartoon, but nothing that would indicate the imminent release of season sets.

When they began airing the show on the Nicktoons channel late last year, our hopes rose once again. After all, if they’re willing to start putting the show back on air, maybe they’ll think about doing a proper DVD release at some point. Over the past year, they have aired several seasons of TMNT 2k3 on Nicktoons, indicating that the show has received a positive response from the fans. Why would they keep airing more episodes unless TMNT fans were watching the show and falling in love all over again?

With that in mind, many shellheads have begun to hope once more for the eventual release of the entire 4Kids series on DVD. As a matter of fact, one fan has even created a petition on Change.org to draw attention to the issue, hoping to garner a lot of support and send a message to Nickelodeon and Viacom. It’s nice to see this kind of solidarity from the fan community, and I am very hopeful that we can all come together and sign this petition to let Viacom know what we want to see.

If I may be so bold as to make a suggestion to the fine people at Nickelodeon, perhaps you should create a Print On Demand set of the entire TMNT 2k3 series? This is nothing new for Nick, as they have produced several DVD sets via this method over the years. Considering how hard it has been for the fans to properly collect this series (thanks in large part to the previous poorly planned out releases), I’m absolutely positive that you would see a lot of interest for this set – even if it is just a barebones set for the die hard aficionados.

There’s no guarantee that signing this petition will result in any kind of response from either Nickelodeon or Viacom, but there’s a chance that they may see it and that it may inspire them to finally consider the possibility of releasing TMNT 2k3 in its entirety on DVD. If you’ve been dying to see this happen, show your support and sign the petition today!

My name is Justin Wren and I love to write about the TMNT! I've been a big Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles fan since the late 80's. Back then, I would watch the original animated series and play with the Playmates toys all the time. I have been following the boys ever since I was a kid, and I'm very happy to see them back in the limelight after all these years. Needless to say, I'm proud to be a member of the team on this awesome TMNT Fan Site!
