Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows Now Available On Demand

Although there are a lot of TMNT fans who prefer physical media, fans who appreciate the digital copy will be happy to hear that you can now enjoy the movie Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows on demand via various services. The film was released digitally two weeks ahead of the DVD and Blu-ray. This is not entirely surprising, as we have seen similar decisions made for several home video releases over the past few years. Let’s just say that it’s fairly apparent that the studios would prefer to push digital sales over physical. To be honest, it makes sense, because that allows the studios to avoid paying for the production of discs, cases or artwork.
As of yet, we have no idea whether or not this film will eventually make its way to services such as Netflix or Hulu, but there is a strong possibility that this will happen at some point. After all, you can currently watch Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (2014) for free on Amazon’s Instant Video service if you have Amazon Prime. If it took less than two years to bring that film to one of the cheaper monthly VOD services, chances are that it won’t take very long to see Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows on a similar service within the next year or two.
Personally, I think the film is good enough to own, so I would recommend picking up your copy ASAP. Whether you decide to go digital or stick with a physical copy, September promises a lot of shell-raising action as Out of the Shadows is released on various platforms. Here’s hoping we all pick up and enjoy this latest addition to the film franchise!
