Awesome Nickelodeon TMNT Panel Planned For NYCC 2016

If it seems like SDCC was only about a month ago, you’re not entirely wrong. Regardless, nerds around the world are getting ready for another big comic convention coming to New York in October. NYCC is one of the biggest conventions out there, and the gang from Nickelodeon’s Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles series usually shows up to provide yet another panel at this event every year. It looks like this isn’t about to change anytime soon, as Nick has just announced some of their plans for the TMNT panel at NYCC 2016. Needless to say, this is shaping up to be an awesome show!

As usual, Rob Paulsen (Donatello) and Greg Cipes (Michelangelo) will be on hand to talk turtles. Hoon Lee (Master Splinter) will also be at the NYCC 2016 panel, joined by none other than Kevin Michael Richardson (The Shredder). It’s pretty cool to see Kevin at one of these panels, and it would appear that there is a reason for his appearance, as the TMNT panel will be focusing on an episode entitled “Rise of the Super Shredder.” Fans of the 90’s TMNT movies will recall seeing Super Shredder in Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles II: The Secret of the Ooze. If this name is accurate, it looks like Ciro Nieli and Brandon Auman will be reaching back into the TMNT lore for even more nostalgic goodness in Nickelodeon’s TMNT series!

Speaking of which, Nieli will also be on hand at NYCC 2016 to provide a sneak peak of the latest episode and talk about the development of the series. As usual, Andre Meadows (Black Nerd Comedy) will be moderating the TMNT panel, and there’s always a chance that even more creators behind the television show will appear at this comic-con event. Unfortunately, we don’t know what else to expect from this panel as of yet, but it’s definitely shaping up to be a memorable experience. The TMNT panel at NYCC will start on Friday, October 7 from 2:45 PM – 3:45 PM.
