How many similar Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles figures can be brought to market before even the fans start to get tired of seeing green? Well, it would appear that Jada Toys is ready to put this question to the test, because they have just released a new series of TMNT collectibles. We’ve seen quite a few figures based on the original animated series, so the design of these Ninja Turtles toys probably won’t come as a surprise. The only thing that really separates this particular merchandise from similar items on the market is its die cast model, which some collector’s may actually prefer.

If I sound a bit harsh, it’s only because we’ve seen so many different iterations of these specific Ninja Turtles on store shelves, and I’m always on the lookout for something new and different. When the only difference between two figures is the material used to make them, there’s not much to get excited about. The price of these Jada Toys TMNT collectibles falls in line with other offerings on the market, coming in at between $10-$15 per figure. Of course, thanks to the different material, you can expect a much smaller figure from this line; each turtle is only 4 inches high.

Perhaps I’m being too negative about this line, but something tells me that a lot of fans are also tired of seeing the same old thing. Thankfully, Jada Toys will also be releasing a slightly bigger version of Leonardo in Samurai armor. This Samurai figure represents something of a departure from the average TMNT merchandise on the market, so at least they are trying something a little bit different. The Samurai Leonardo toy is 6″ in height and costs roughly twice as much as the traditional TMNT figures in this line.

Unlike some of the other Ninja Turtles figures we’ve seen announced as of late, these are apparently available to purchase right away. If you’re looking for a smaller form factor and you like the idea of having some die cast turtles in your collection, be on the lookout for this latest line of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles figures from Jada Toys.
