In just a few short days, the next big Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movie will be hitting silver screens all over the world. Heck, the movie has already been released in some markets, and reviews are starting to pour in. Our review of Out of the Shadows will be coming soon, but until then we’ve decided to provide you with a few awesome and hilarious TMNT related videos!
First off, let’s listen to the vocal stylings of Irish musical group HomeTown singing a song that every shellhead knows by heart. As part of their international promotion for Out of the Shadows, Paramount decided to bring this popular Irish boy band together to sing the original theme song for the 1987 animated series.
This might seem odd for an ad that is promoting the newest film in the franchise, but then they did actually use this song as inspiration for one of the tracks used in the score of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows. Considering how much this movie would appear to borrow from that cartoon, this actually seems somewhat fitting.
Next up, let’s take a look at PixelDan opening up his very first TMNT Box! This particular TMNT Box is one of the newer offerings, which is much cheaper and more affordable than the original subscription, but he still manages to get a few turtley awesome goodies here.
Considering that the TMNT Box is now only $9.99, it’s safe to say that the items in this box were worth at least double the price that was paid for them. Everybody’s favorite toy reviewer seemed to be pretty happy with the results, so I guess that’s one more satisfied customer!
Last but not least, the hilarious Youtube channel Honest Trailers worked with none other than The Nostalgia Critic to create this brilliant video. Although it starts off as a scathing critique of the Coming Out Of Their Shells tour from the mid 90’s, this would-be honest movie trailer gets derailed when Doug Walker interrupts and reminds everyone that Turtle-mania got much worse than a silly musical turtles.
He starts off by talking about the holiday special, but eventually reveals some TMNT promos from back in the day that will almost make you appreciate the relative normalcy of the Coming Out Of Their Shells tour. This is probably one of the funniest TMNT videos I have ever seen, and it’s definitely worth checking out.
