Second Quarterly TMNT Box Unboxing

This quarter’s TMNT Box theme is “Hawaiian Style,” just in time to celebrate the rest of Summer!

First up is a Hawaiian Style shirt!

With custom artwork and pattern by Zachary Friedberg, this is sure to be a hit on your next beach trip!

  Next is a an Eekeez collectible tiki figure from Wondercon 2018!

This figure is based on the Mirage comics colorway. It makes a great addition to any TMNT figure collection, or any Tiki bar,

And finally, a very popular item in the TMNT Box, packs of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles trading cards from Topps!

These packs are from 1989, so please, don’t eat the gum.

I really enjoyed this quarter’s TMNT Box. The resin statue is my personal favorite, and I hope the trading cards continue in future editions. But what did you think? UNBOXED! – First Quarterly TMNT BOX April 2019

The TMNT Box is changing it’s format a bit.

They raised their prices, ensuring more quality, and also made the switch from a monthly plan to quarterly. My first Quarterly TMNT Box finally arrived, so let’s check out what’s inside!

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Walkie-Talkies

This set of Walkie-Talkies is great for any adventurous kids in your life! The pair features Leonardo and Raphael with designs from the 2012 series. This is a great toy and a nice addition for the extra price point!

TMNT Topps Trading Card Packs

These were included with a previous box as well, but I don’t get tired of seeing them. They’re fun to open and take a trip through turtle history. Included were 3 packs of the 1990 Topps trading cards. The cards feature classic scenes from the original TMNT cartoon, numbered and detailed for easy collecting. Lucky for me, I have yet to receive any doubles! Maybe the best part though, the stale gum is still in tact. The stale, 29 year old gum.

Splinter Pin

The pins that get included are fun. It’s a fan design, but instantly recognizable as Splinter. He’s a bit more serious and not too flashy, so it’s a great highlight for a more subdued person.

TMNT Girl Power T-Shirt

After the last TMNT box featured an awesome shirt graphic with blueprints of a Donatello action figure, I was really hoping for a great shirt this time around. Unfortunately, I got this. I like that it’s on a black shirt, but I still hate the turtle designs. I’m all for unofficial shirts, but this makes it feel unofficial. I might just not be a fan of the artists style, but to each his own.

UNBOXED! – TMNT Box September 2018

The September TMNT Box is here!

This was my favorite TMNT Box yet! It had a clear theme and offered a bit more variety then usual. It had something Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles fans of all ages can really enjoy. Funko DC MyMoji Blind Bag Vinyl Figures

I’m a sucker for a blind box mystery bag. Even if I have no where to put them, I need to know whats in the bag. However, I haven’t been excited about anything based on emojis. Pins, movies, and now vinyl figures, I just can’t get in to it. However, Funko always makes a great collectible. It’s a bit weird to have DC characters in a TMNT box, but it makes sense with the overall theme.

Michelangelo 2″ Kawaii Plush Cube


This small plush features our favorite party dude, Michelangelo! I missed out on the rest of the series that was released a while back, but this is still a fun addition to the collection. I love that if you do collect any others, they are stackable! It’s a great feature for anyone with a clutter or tiny apartment issue. If you missed out on the rest of the collection (like me), they’re still available on the TMNT Box Shop.

Batman/Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles crossover comic!

I really love this mini-series. Two incredible franchises collide as Batman meets the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. In my box, I got issue #1 of volume 2, but you may have gotten issue #6 of volume 1. Either way, check out the rest of the series. The artwork from Freddie Williams II is a fantastic depiction and, from what I’ve read so far, the story from James Tynion IV is great. I’m excited to continue the series with Volume 2!

Kraang Pin

Kraang? Krang? Either way, pins are always an appreciated bonus in any mystery box.

This was my favorite TMNT Box to date! I love that everything was officially licensed and I love the crossover aspect. Every item in this month’s box is a quality product from a trusted brand. The comic is a great addition, and even came well potected.

UNBOXED! – TMNT Box August 2018

The August TMNT Box features a backpack with comic versions of the 4 brothers on the front.

This black nylon pack has a great design. I love the comic versions of the turtles and it’s always rare to find merchandise with this version. The shape of the bag is similar to a turtle shell. It has 2 pockets, a larger and a smaller, to help compartmentalized your stuff. It also has a strap on the outside to hold a hat or towel.

It’s a bit smaller than other backpacks and doesn’t feature a padded area on the inside for a laptop or tablet. But you paid $10 for this! It’s a great deal. I plan on using mine for toiletries on trips! It’s great for the beach or the gym. I still wish the box had more officially licensed products, but I think Id rather have 1 nice thing than a few mediocre things.

Unboxed! – TMNT Box July 2018

This month’s TMNT box arrived, and it’s my favorite of the last few months!

There are a few things in here to help your next beach trip. First up…

A Ninja Turtles 13″ Beach Ball!

With character designs based on the 2013 cartoon series, this is a fun addition to fit the Summer beach theme. Some subscribers have gotten a Flying disc, so either is great!

Next up is a pair of Bebop pins!

They give you 2 of the same to share with a friend. This does seem like a missed opportunity to have 1 Bebop and 1 Rocksteady, but I’ll let it slide. The character design is from the classic 1989 cartoon. It’s a great addition to any pin collection!

Finally, a new shirt from past TMNT Box featured artist Zachary Friedberg!

The Tank Top (or shirt for younger subscribers) features a unique take on Rocksteady. It’s a great lounging for the beach or pool! Check out more of Zachary’s artwork on Instagram!
