Back in January, producers Brad Fuller and Andrew Form confirmed that fan-favorite Casey Jones would be appearing in the Turtles big-budget sequel of 2016. Today we have been informed that Arrow star Stephen Amell has been cast as the masked vigilante. According to ComicBookMovie.com, six actors auditioned for the Jones role and Amell had the best chemistry. Casey Jones is a paramount character to the franchise and we have faith in Amell’s abilities to really capture this role.
Amell has proven his strength with multiple conditioning videos on YouTube, including some Parkour, which should help his character traverse from rooftop to rooftop. Now he has to get practicing his skills with hockey sticks, golf clubs, and baseball bats. Who knows? Maybe Donatello will get him a new gadget this time around?
Shell-heads have a lot to be excited about with the upcoming sequel. The new director Dave Green is known to deliver within budget, ultimately providing more plot and footage for the fans.

Never watched Arrow, But he looks like a good fit for Casey Jones.
He definitely has the fighting and parkour skills. Now we’re just hoping he can bring Casey Jones comedic presence.
I’ll be happy if he’s Casey and not the same american John Everyman character Michael Bay is addicted to,or Arrow in a hockey mask.
this is good news,he’s the most Casey shaped Casey since Viacom
IDW and NICK both made him skinny so that might have become the character if it wasn’t for this, thank god
