Original Cast of TMNT Reunited on Rob Paulsen’s Podcast
Have you ever wondered what happened to the voice actors who portrayed our four favorite turtles? Well, they’re still around and doing a lot of work on other projects! In fact, as some of you may know, one of them is still playing a Ninja Turtle in Nickelodeon’s newest interpretation of the TMNT. Rob Paulsen, originally the voice of Raphael on the original series, will be playing Donatello in the new series. Sadly, the other three original turtles won’t be joining him this time around, but that doesn’t mean they’ve been forgotten!
In fact, Paulsen recently got together with Cam Clarke (Leonardo), Townsend Coleman (Michelangelo), and Barry Gordon (Donatello) to do a live interview with all of them for his podcast “Talkin’ Toons.” All four of them have extensive experience in the business, and it’s almost a guarantee that you’ll recognize their voices from other projects that they have worked on. From major roles on Tiny Toons and Animaniacs to minor roles on Snorks and The Tick, these guys are industry professionals with a lot to talk about.
So what are they talking about in Rob Paulsen’s latest podcast? Well, they’re talking turtles, of course! If you’ve always been curious how they landed the roles or what they’ve been doing since, then you should definitely check out this live interview. The best part? It’s absolutely free on Paulsen’s website! Wondering who first attempted to voice Michelangelo? Or perhaps whether the turtles worked together before they were turtles? You’ll find it all out here. Episode 56 of Talkin’ Toons is over an hour long, and can be downloaded and played on your mp3 player and other devices.
This is one of the few times that this group of characters has gotten together for an interview in a while, so you should definitely seize this invaluable opportunity to hear the voices of your favorite turtles all together once more. There may even be a few radical surprises in store for you, but you’ll just have to listen and find out for yourself!
