New Nickelodeon TMNT Books Now Available For Pre-Order

Months before the show is even scheduled to appear on a TV screen near you, Nickelodeon has quickly been working towards turning their new TMNT spinoff into a cash cow. In a day and age where the most popular cartoons are coming out of left field, it might seems a bit odd to see a company lining their ducks up in a row like this. However, for children of the 80’s, this behavior should be nothing new. After all, ours was the generation that was first introduced to the concept of cartoons developed for the sole purpose of selling a product. It should come as no surprise that we’ve already started to see Nickelodeon shopping around the toy line for the new series, and now we are starting to see some of the first products available for pre-order.

A new line of TMNT books that are designed and aimed at kids is now available for pre-order on Amazon. These are mostly sticker and coloring books, but there are also a few junior novels with focus on specific turtles. It’s clear to see that Nickelodeon is setting their sights high, and they have big plans for this series. The world of coloring books and stickers are nothing new for these iconic heroes, but it’s still nice to see a return to this kind of merchandise once more. If you’re a lifelong fan who has kids of their own, these books might be worth checking out. The first set is due for release on August 7th, 2012 with the second set following shortly after in January of 2013. Oh, and quite a few of the titles qualify for Amazon’s 4-for-3 promotion, so it actually makes quite a bit of sense to pre-order now!
