Although it might not come as a surprise to some fans, others will be happy to know that the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles will once again be making an appearance in Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade this year. Needless to say, this won’t be the first appearance that the turtles have made at this festive holiday tradition, but it’s nice to know we’ll see them once again. One of the most memorable examples of this came just a few years ago when our heroes in a half shell appeared on a special float to celebrate Nickelodeon’s latest animated series.
Sadly, we don’t yet know what this year’s float will look like, but we won’t have to wait very long to see for ourselves. The Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade begins at 9 AM tomorrow and will run for approximately three hours. One look at past floats suggests that we’ve got a lot to look forward to, because it seems like they always do their best to make these attractions even bigger and better each year. As of yet, all we can confirm is that the attraction will be guarded by several actors dressed up as New York’s finest!
Whatever Nickelodeon ends up sharing with the world tomorrow, chances are that it’ll be a lot of fun to watch the turtles in action once again. Considering the recent concerns revolving around the TMNT film franchise, this is the best time to bring them back into the limelight and remind everyone that our heroes in a half shell are still here. I don’t know about you, but I can’t wait to see what they’ve come up with for this year’s float.
This year marks the 90th anniversary of Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade, and it doesn’t look like they have any intention of putting an end to the tradition anytime soon. Here’s hoping that the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles continue to make an appearance during the event for many years to come.
