Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutants in Manhattan Gets Release Date on Amazon

The development of information about this game has been quite interesting, so it probably shouldn’t come as a shock that our first clue to the official release date for the game has come via the listing for Mutants in Manhattan on Amazon. Although the trailer said that we could expect the game to come out this summer, its release date on Amazon is actually September 21st. Call me crazy, but that’s practically autumn, isn’t it? September is right when kids are starting to head back to school, so it’s difficult to consider that the summer.

Of course, this is only the release date given to us by Amazon and it is not an officially announced date provided by Activision or Platinum Games. That being said, this information at least gives us a sense for when we can expect to see the game on store shelves. Despite the trailer indicating that we would be seeing Mutants in Manhattan during the summer, this new data could indicate that we will have to wait a bit longer. Thankfully, in addition to the release date information, this posting also confirms a few more key details that will surely please more than a few fans.

Amazon product page for Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutants in Manhattan

For one thing, you will find listings available for four different consoles: Xbox 360, Xbox One, PS3 and PS4. According to the trailer and other sources, Mutants in Manhattan will also be available on PC, so PC gamers shouldn’t worry about the lack of representation on this store page. Oh, and how about that price point? At $49.99, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutants in Manhattan is actually cheaper than most Triple A titles. Amazon Prime members will enjoy an extra 20% off of that price, bringing it down to just $39.99.

Pre-orders are available now, but we don’t know exactly when this game is going to be released just yet. Sadly, an Amazon listing is not reliable enough to assume accuracy, but it is an indicator of what we can expect. I’m sure that in the coming weeks we will learn even more about this anticipated TMNT game, but for now we’ll just have to work with the information that is slowly being released or leaked from various sources.

What do you think? Will you be pre-ordering Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutants in Manhattan? Are you hoping for an earlier release date than this? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below, or tweet out to us with your answer!

My name is Justin Wren and I love to write about the TMNT! I've been a big Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles fan since the late 80's. Back then, I would watch the original animated series and play with the Playmates toys all the time. I have been following the boys ever since I was a kid, and I'm very happy to see them back in the limelight after all these years. Needless to say, I'm proud to be a member of the team on this awesome TMNT Fan Site!
