Classic TMNT LEGO CUUSOO Set In The Works

Late last year, Ninja Turtles fans were getting excited for the first Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles LEGO sets to ever be produced. Although they were planned for release after the holidays, a lucky few got their hands on some of the sets beforehand thanks to certain businesses making fortunate mistakes. Sadly, this year probably won’t see the same level excitement, but that doesn’t mean that there isn’t anything to be excited about. Recently, a fan of both TMNT and the LEGO toys crafted a special version of the classic Turtle Van from the 1987 Cartoon series in celebration of the 30th Anniversary. The van has been put up on the LEGO CUUSOO website and is currently eligible for voting.

If you’re unfamiliar with the CUUSOO website, allow me to explain. This site was created by The Lego Group in 2008 in order to allow users to submit ideas for LEGO products that could be turned into actual sets available to be purchased commercially. Perhaps one of the more notable success stories from this program was that of the DeLorean Time Machine from the classic 80’s film Back to the Future. Including Doc Brown and Marty McFly minifigs, this set received enough votes to be turned into an actual LEGO set and is now available for sale at a retail price of $34.99.

Sure, the DeLorean Time Machine is cool, but check out this classic Turtle Van! Featuring all four turtles, the van features doors which open so you can put the Ninja Turtles inside. With the classic TMNT logo on the front and stickers on the side, this TMNT LEGO set is simply awesome. Unfortunately, the set only has 160 supporters so far! How ridiculous is that? What we need here is the turtle power of all the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles fans to make sure that this set becomes a reality. If you like LEGO and you love the Ninja Turtles, show your support by voting for this awesome Turtle Van LEGO set.

How do you vote? It’s simple! Click on the giant “Support” button on the page and let LEGO CUUSOO know how much you’d be willing to pay for this set if it was eventually released. This will give them an idea of a fair price to charge for the item, and being that it is a specialty set, I’m sure we can all think of a reasonable price. Let LEGO know that you want more classic TMNT in your life with this awesome Classic Turtle Van LEGO set. If you still haven’t gotten your hands on the current Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles LEGO sets, they are thankfully still available in stores and you can pick them up today!

My name is Justin Wren and I love to write about the TMNT! I've been a big Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles fan since the late 80's. Back then, I would watch the original animated series and play with the Playmates toys all the time. I have been following the boys ever since I was a kid, and I'm very happy to see them back in the limelight after all these years. Needless to say, I'm proud to be a member of the team on this awesome TMNT Fan Site!
