Splinter was SPOT ON!!
My 2 nephews are big fans and so Iam I.They would love this
Loved it. They used the essence of the turtles from the comic and the cartoon. While the back story was different it all came together and modernized the series. Can’t wait for the sequel!
I loved how things from the original tmnt was incorporated into this movie. It was an awesome movie and I’ll watch it over and over! 🙂
Loved the movie as a whole. Had a couple issues but not the ones I expected to have. I will say this though. The way April was treated by her coworkers was not believable at all. Any guy would tell you that when working with a woman that beautiful you do everything in your power to gain her attention. That’s of course unless she’s extremely stuck up and treats you poorly which they did not portray.
The movie was awesome. I love the new Tmnt movie. They did an awesome job. My friends loved it as well. <3
TMNT was epic, it was a different origin story than we’re used to but different is not always worse. I love taking risks and they caught hell for certain decisions but after watching it Saturday night all I can say is it was by far the best incarnation of turtles yet. Worth the risks taken and crap talked. I cannot wait until the sequel.
I LOVED THE MOVIE!!!!! THIS MOVIE SURPRISED A LOT OF PEOPLE WHICH I LOVE BECAUSE MOST OF THOSE PEOPLE THOUGHT IT WASN’T GOING TO BE GOOD BUT IT WAS!!!!! MY FAVORITE NINJA TURTLE IS DONATELLO!!!! I GREW UP WITH TEENAGE MUTANT NINJA TURTLES AND EVER SINCE, MY FAVORITE WAS DONATELLO :} I WOULD LOVE TO HAVE THESE FATHEADS FOR MY NINJA TURTLE COLLECTION:D
Thought the TMNT movie was fun. The origin story wasn’t my favorite but overall really enjoyed the movie! Can’t wait for the sequel!
It’s not the 90″a turtles that’s for sure.
It was an awesome movie
Pick me!!!
Soooo awesome will see this movie again and again well I am the #1 turtle fan 😉
I loved it, and so did my son. I felt it was just a new spin on a decent based franchise and slightly needed a reboot. My son is going to be 10 and he is actually having a TMNT birthday
I liked the Movie. Not as good as the original but a great reboot. Looking forward to anther one. Hopefully the add Casey Jones!
I love the turtles no matter what form they’re in. Especially Leonardo.
Leonardo my favorite also 😀 Glad to see more fans of Leo 😀
It was an awesome movie. We watched it 3 times over the weekend. We loved it 🙂
My husband and I took our 4 yr old son to see this movie last night. It was his first time at the drive in. He loved it! We especially loved the part where they were beat boxing in the elevator. #halarious! 🙂
It was amazing movie!! It made me feel like a kid again and I looked. It made me laughed and cry as well. Great time at the movies…. Amazing!!! There are no words…
As a long time fan of the franchise, I’ve been there for the good and the bad. In MY opinion, this movie definitely leans more on the good side. I’m not saying it’s the best Turtles ever or anything, but I certainly will say it’s not nearly as bad as all the haters want it to be. Personally, I am not a big fan of the militant commando version of the Foot Clan. And while Shredder is cool for the most part, towards the end, he gets a little too “Megatron” for my tastes. Otherwise I feel they did a fine job of portraying the characters. The Turtles felt true to their well known individualities. No, I am not afraid to say that even April and Vernon were handled fairly. Love her or hate her, Megan Fox did a fine job as Miss O’Neil. I know a lot of die-hards are gonna have a tough time with some of the origin story in this movie, but I thought it was fine. Certain elements of the origin mirror what’s going on in the new IDW comics, and I have absolutely no problems with that. I was surprised to find that the movie was only 1.5 hours. Which is fine… another 20 or 30 minutes might have altered the overall feel. As for the overall feel, I laughed, I cheered, I questioned, I left the theater satisfied. I will most definitely see this again
I agree! 😀
I loved the action, I loved the new, gritty look. I didn’t like the lack of character building. I know a lot of assumptions were made that the fan base would be bored with character building, but the movie needed it. I did not like the new origin story. It gives Shredder and Splinter ZERO reason to be rivals. BUT, the personalities of each turtle are true, the CGI was great and I am STOKED for a sequel!!!!
The new movie kick butt. and i cant waite this weekend to see it again. i love the new
Shredder and i love the whole idea that each turtle has there own look and talent and personality. i cant waite intil it comes out in blu ray and i cant waite to see if they are coming out with the same pizza theme like the other movies did. i love mickey he was very funny. alot of funny parts. its so better then the original. I loved the old school tmnt dont get me wrong. but this is the new tmnt of 2000 not the 90s. I love how it change it up and reflect so much the way it should. I cant waite to see if they are going to make a part 2. GO Ninja Go Ninja Go. Turtle Power.
It was one of the best Ninja Turtles movie by far and I can’t wait for more to come. I cant waite to see again the second time this week. I always love it. i know there is alot of school tmnt out there well i am one of them and i know there has been 50/50 talk about. i found the whole thing more action more comedy .Movie was freaking awesome.People need to realize has to be different. I dont want to watch the same original stuff. i wanted to see fresh and new and action pack. this movie had it all. Comedy Action Fun , I was just so surprised that mikey likes April . Donnie likes April from the new TMNT Cartoon. Total didnt see that coming. Hurry up and add a second movie i cant waite. but add Beeop and Rock steady. the old school didnt add them. or add the new evil characters like Spike or Leatherhead or Tiger Claw
RAPHAEL!!!! His speech at the end was amazing, very heart warming!!!
Move was AWESOME for the whole family…CAN’T wait for the next one!!
Loved the movie, I think it was the perfect return to such a deserving franchise and now they are back and stronger than ever. I keep going back to see this film over and over because of how much I love it and cannot wait to buy it on blu-ray.
I thought it was awesome, I loved the fact that they stayed true the turtles personality’s! I’ve seen it 4 times all ready 🙂
Would love to have these.
I like to think of the movie as a good movie that had the potential to be an awesome movie. They nailed the personalities of the turtles perfectly. The only real issues I had were with some of the actors and the plot, hopefully they’ll really look into all the criticism of the fans and use that knowledge to make an even better movie next time.
A great return to the TMNT World, a action-packed TMNT Movie is what we wanted, and its what we got!
I thought the movie was great! I was a little concerned a new movie would not do justice to the Turtles, but it was fantastic. I like their new look. It had action, it had drama, it had lots of funny stuff. I can’t wait to go see it again 🙂
The movie was awesome. The graphics were amazing and a lot of action. Turtle Power. #ShellShocked
I took my TMNT loving son to see this movie. We both loved it. It is a great movie. My son loved the elevator scene and the last scene with Mikey trying to serenade April. When we walked out of the theater my son said “Mom, we HAVE TO get this movie!!!!!”
Can’t wait to see it.
Being an original TMNT fan since 1984, I was very skeptical as I started to see the movie, and what it had developed into. I went on opening night, and I was pleasantly surprised that the movie was great.
There were times when I didn’t like some of the plot, or the actual quickness of the movie. It felt very rushed at times, but then again, it didn’t seem to drag on.
The action was great, and they captured the personalities perfectly of each Turtle as I remembered from when I was a little kid.
I couldn’t be more excited as I love seeing the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles back in full force everywhere I go. It makes me smile to see kids today enjoying what I used to, and still enjoy from 30 years ago.
Cowabunga!
I agree! 😀 And as being a kid of today that has seen the original I enjoyed it 🙂
Loved It! Can’t wait for the sequels! I wish they’d incorporate the turtle in a Half Shell theme song as the turtles drop from the moonlight and vanilla ice go ninja in the sequels…Epic! Probably will go see it again! I’m a Snapping Turtle fool! Oh and shredder was a bit much, like fighting a transformer…welcome to the 21st century turtles!
It was kind of a letdown. It seemed like they left out needed info for the storyline to work correctly. Why was Shredder helping Sachs? There is a small throwaway line as to why Sachs and the Shredder have a relationship but there is no talk of why Shredder needs armor in the first place or why Sachs built/updated the armor. The trailer suggests that the turtles were created as weapons but the movie makes no mention of that at all. They were experimented on to create a cure all for human kind. Also why are they experimenting on Cold Blooded creatures to find a cure for warm blooded creatures???? There was also no mention of why it is project renaissance yet she went with Splinter for the rats name. Mikey also got annoying really quick. There was too much wrong with this movie for it to be enjoyable.
I absolutely loved the new turtles movie. It was funny and action packed. I hope there are many more to come. 🙂
Best movie ever
Shredder was awesome and i love the whole idea that each turtle has there own look and talent and personality. i cant wait until it comes out in blu ray and get to see if they are coming out with the same pizza theme like the other movies did. i love mickey he was very funny. alot of funny parts. its so better then the original. I loved the old school tmnt dont get me wrong. but this is the new tmnt of 2000…I cant wait to see if they are going to make a part 2. GO Ninja Go Ninja Go. Turtle Power.
That’s exactly what I said after I got out the theater xD
and there will be a sequel in 2016! 🙂
I loved the TMNT movie remix. If your target demographic included 35 year old women, then kudos to you! My expectations were naturally high because I’ve been a fan since the original Eastman & Laird sketches from the ’80s. I collected the comic books, action figures (still have ’em!), DVDs, and other TMNT knickknack-paddywacks as a kid so to label me a die-hard fan would be an understatement. Anyway, not only was the plot intelligent, but the movie was actually funny. I’m going to see it again tomorrow! Mad props for a job very well done!
Loved it. Loved the plot change and loved the action. I never read the comics. Only watched cartoons and movies as a kid, and it put my 6 year old selfs smile on my 3 year olds face!
Listen I love he ninja turtles but I hate it that they made the ninja turtles as Aprils pets that’s just dumb and her feeding them pizza when they were smaller c’mon now but I’m not disliking the movie but hey why give the FOOT CLAN guns if the ninja turtles are goin to be bullet proof,, the foot clan are supposed to be ninja’s not GI Joes
Die hard fan of the turtles. I loved the way they incorporated today’s culture into the tmnt world! I would have been disappointed if they had tried to keep it as close to the originals as possible. Can’t wait to purchase on Blu Ray and complete my collection!
The movie was so awesome I grew up loving these guys and its awesome to share the experience with my sons 🙂 can not wait for part 2 it will be epic as well!!! Cowabunga dude!!!
I love the ne turtles look Cowabunga!
I was super impressed with the cgi and the acting from the turtles. Scenes like the elevator one were what this movie should’ve been chock full of. Honestly, Megan Fox was a big bummer in the flick, and it was heavily edited with all sorts of plot holes. But all-in-all, it was a turtles flick, and I got to see turtles do awesome stuff so I chalk it up as a win.
I just wish they explored the turtles’ personalities a little bit more. I feel like the movie ended without us really getting to know any of the characters. Loved it though!
I loved the movie I grew up on ninja turtles and thought the movie was great. The elevator scene was my favorite. I hope they make a series out of this group. I’m officially addicted. I even bought the whole toy collection already. I want a fathead now
There is going to be a sequel in 2016! 🙂
Entertaining silly fun . what you would expect from a live action kids product .
I LOVED THE MOVIE!!!! WHY DO THEY THINK IT BEAT GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY??? CUZ ITS THE BEST MOVIE, NOT JUST IN THE WORLD THE BEST MOVIE IN THE WHOLE MILKY WAY GALAXY AND SURRONDING SOLAR SYSTEMS. THERE ARE CHARACTERS MISSING BUT THERES THE SEQUEAL FOR THAT! CASEY OR BAXTER OR MAYBY BOTH. IM EVEN GOING TO EE THE MOVIE AGAIN AND THEN BUY IT ONE DVD AND THEN GO WATCH THE SEQUEL ON JULY 6TH 2016!!!!!!!! IT SO AWESOME I CANT EXPLAIN IT ALL IN ONE PARAGTRAPH. THERE WAS NOTHING WRONG AT ALL. HATERS GONNA HATE AND MISS THE BEST MOVIE IN THE WHOLE WIDE MILKY WAY GALAXY (AS I SAID BEFORE). HOPE I WIN THE GIVEAWAY AND JUST…AWWW IT SO BAD ASS AND AWESOME AND I HAD A SHELL OF A GOOD TIME!!!!!!!!!!!!
I DEFINITELY AGREE XD
Absolutely loved the movie! My husband took our boys to see it and I think me and him liked it more than they did! My sons 6th bday is this Friday and he would love to have one!
I thought it was a great addition to the TMNT universe!!
I have loved the Ninja Turtles since I was a very young boy. I’ve had the toys, the shirts, the slippers, the weapons and everything in between. My leg bears a TMNT tattoo that I cherish and will love for the rest of my life. They mean everything to me. Just thinking about them puts a smile on my face. They are my child hood incarnate and I will always love them. That being said, i thought the movie was okay at best. I don’t mind the change in the look of the turtles, in fact I think, besides their faces and weird teeth and Raph’s dumb sunglasses, they actually look pretty cool. I DID NOT like Johnny Knoxville as Leonardo. That does not make a lick of sense to me. Leo is the only one acted by one person and voiced by another. Throughout the years and all the movies each turtle has had a somewhat specific voice. In this movie, it’s a total failure. I mean some are sort of close, but Leo’s voice is not even close. Johnny Knoxville has no right to be anywhere near a Ninja Turtle movie. That I think is one of the worst parts of the movie. Secondly, the origin story is bananas. I hate that at first Bay wanted to make them aliens (which is absurd) and now they are created in a lab and saved by April?? It’s just ridiculous. I don’t see how changing the origin could have added to the movie. And it’s kind of weird that Shredder looks like a transformer. I don’t totally hate it, but I’m not a big fan of it. Other than those points the movie was okay. The action was good. The comedy was fun. The turtles personalities could have been better portrayed. Especially Leo’s. As a fan for some 22 years, I just feel let down. This movie had SO much potential and they could have made it amazing. But they didn’t. And now we have to wait god knows how long before someone else can get a chance at making a new TMNT movie and making it great, for the fans, and not selfishly for the producer. I hope there is someone out there who can save the TMNT franchise with a new movie. An accurate movie, with worthy performers.
It was ok. A lot of potential in the franchise. Turtles we’re great, but a little too much April.
Best movie yet!! I’ve seen it 3 times already!
Have always enjoyed TMNT , and I am a 61 year old Grandma. I have invested so much $$$ on these guys, going back to 1990.
The movie was meant for both children and adults in mind, the plot though a little obvious could have been way worse. The new designs for the turtles was actually a welcomed surprised, although it was my least favorite re imagining of splinter by far. Over all it was a good movie that I didn’t feel like my money was wasted on.
Hi my name is Alexis and I am 14 and I love the Teenage mutant ninja turtles! I have seen the first 3 original movies and the original series and this was my first time seeing a turtles movie theaters. I knew that after all the hatred toward the movie that in the end it would be big. I understand some people still hate this its not nostalgic for old fans but you have to realize to people like me in the future this will be nostalgic for me. I loved the movie more than I thought I would, I know every movie has its flaws but I enjoyed it. 😀 The movie has become very popular, don’t believe then how could it beat Guardians Of The Galaxy? I can’t wait for a sequel in 2016, and if you haven’t seen it at least give it a chance especially if you are a big fan. If you can ride a new ride at a amusement park then you can go to a new expectation of the turtles. I respect all opinions of the movie and my comment. Just enjoy the turtles despite what you think! Well Cowabunga dudes! xD
I thought it was amazing. Everyone complains it was rushed but this one was LONGER than the originals. Plus I’m glad they changed a bit of the story. No point of a remake if everything is exactly the same. And finally each character had their own personality unlike how in the originals they all acted the same for the most part.. Megan was good as April. I just wished karai had a fight scene. And Shredder finally seemed intimidating. I loved the movie.
I absolutely LOVED the new Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movie! The Ninja Turtles were the very first thing I became a fan of. I was about 4 years old when I started getting the action figures and watching the cartoon. I’m 27 now and this newest movie was great! It does a WONDERFUL job of reinvigorating the Ninja Turtles for the next generation of fans and I definitely predict that children in the audience will become lifelong fans of the Ninja Turtles just like I did over twenty years ago. TURTLES FOREVER!!
It was amazing , love that their is going to be a sequel , mikey is my all time favourite . It was also cool that hey made the turtles Aprils pets .
My son Vince is a hug fan of the Ninja Turtles. My husband and I were fans as kids and still are. We brought Vince to see the new movie and he would only sit when the turtles were on the screen. Inbetween he jumped up and asked “Where’s Turtles?”. Super cute.
The new movie was amazing we loved it.
I knew the storyline would change but that’s normal. I walked in only expecting a few things. Michael Bay delivered a grate storyline for the turtles. Turtle love for life!
i was very big into the turtles growning up there were a big thing.. now at 27 well im staying open minded till i see the film regardless of what i seen and heard.. i was to see it opening night, i was goin to take my friends 3 year old too see it he was so excited till we got there he didnt wanna go with out mom..lol..soo we got ice cream and i got him some of the nick episodes on dvd.. i tried getting him one of the old films but he didnt want them.. oh well.. but i will still be seeing it very soon..
It’s was a fun movie. I wish they would have stayed more true to the orginal story. But all around it was a good movie I liked it I give it a 7-10 liked it alott
I wasn’t sure I would like this movie, considering the bad press surrounding it for a while. But after having seen it twice now, I really enjoyed it for what it was. Sure it was different, but in a good way. I especially love Raphael’s speech at the end. All of the reasons I love Raphael came out in those few moments of him speaking. Can’t wait for the sequel. Cowabunga!
Yeah that moment with Raph telling his brothers he loves them was great 🙂
I throughly enjoyed it :). It’s incredible what they can do with motion capture.
Let me say being a long time tmnt fan I love the new movie for the new generation. We re hash a lot of old things we grew up with as kids and it helps us relate to our kids now that they can be fans of the same things. My son who is 6 is now a huge tmnt fan and loves the new movie as well as the old ones. I also like all the original ideas they used for the new movie. It keeps things interesting rather than seeing the same storylines over and over again.
i loved it. i thought it was better than (or at least equal to) the 90s
movies. people who say it was terrible and say the 90s ones were good
are stuck in the past. Nostalgia is a power feeling. and those who say
the turtles look ugly, they are mutated turtles, did you expect them to look
cute? One of my few problems ***SPOILERS** is how splinter learns ninjitsu through a book. that one felt forced since they made his origins be that he was April’s pet (another problem) as oppose to a rival to oroko saki. It seem too much like Amazing Spiderman (cliches galore) with that regards. Turtles being indestructible hurts also. By being indestructible they did not rely on their ninja skills and their weapons. Instead, they defeated their enemies simply because they are bigger than them. The turtles’ personalities were spot on and Megan Fox as April was pleasantly surprising. Vern’s character and pretty much all other humans were too one dimensional. Karai was under utilized and the lack of a Casey Jones left Vern as April’s love interest. There were great action scenes especially the snow scene. As you can see I am a real fan of TMNT and not one of those internet hipsters who like to base on anything. I went into the movie with an open mind and while it wasn’t the perfect movie and wont win any academy awards, it was great entertainment.
The movie was great! The Action Was marvellous and Humour was quite good!
I haven’t seen it yet but i know it will be EPIC! COWABUNGA!!!!
I grew up watching TMNT and Donnie has always been my favorite turtle. This movie made me feel like child again while I was watching it. I absolutely loved it and I will be buying it when it comes out on dvd. TURTLE POWER!
Just saw Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles on Friday. It was pretty good. My wife and Mother In Law LOVED IT! They weren’t real big fans before but now both of them swear that they are fans now.
(Edit: Just so everyone knows. Micheal Bay does NOT direct this film. Jonathan Liebsman does. Michael Bay produced the film along with Nickelodeon. Getting mad at this movie because of Michael Bay is like havinga terrible experience at a Bar and blaming the bank that gave them their business loan. Or yelling at your wallet because that cheeseburger you bought was subpar.)
First things first, let me get my problems with it out of the way. Minor Spoilers to follow.
My biggest problem is their revamped origin story. Most of it worked but they completely removed Shredder and Splinter’s history. Splinter and Shredder have never met before the movie takes place. Instead of being a ninja master, Splinter was just a Rat exposed to mutagen and, when he adopts the turtles, becomes self taught in Ninjitsu from some books he found in the sewer. Once Splinter mastered it, he taught the turtles. This, of course, removes all of the emotional impact of the Turtles being raised to defeat Shredder to get revenge for Splinter. The movie works, but it suffers from the loss of the emotional depth.
Second problem: The Foot Clan are no longer ninja thieves but some paramilitary group working for Shredder. I didn’t see a single Foot Soldier use any kind of martial arts and the only weapons they used were guns and explosives. Again, it works for this post 9/11 world but it was missed by a longtime fan such as myself.
Third problem: Shredder is almost non-existent and definitely doesn’t have character. When we are first introduced to him, he is sans armor, heavily scarred, and has an impressive combat demo, taking out an adversary while being completely bound. Once he gets his armor, he ceases being a human and could have been easily written off as a robot villain. But if you read below there are some good points to Shredder as well.
Now for the good. The Turtles look amazing! Their acting is good. Mikey and Raph get most of the dialogue, followed by Donnie, and then we get a almost surprisingly silent Leo. The fighting is great and it’s such a relief to finally see the boys get to cut loose with their weapons (Thanks PG-13 rating!). The action is superb, the best from any Turtles media so far. Even Splinter gets a bad ass make over, utilizing his tail as his primary weapon (AMAZING).
Megan Fox does a good job as April. This is a huge compliment from me seeings how I hate Megan Fox.
The Inclusion of Vern was a great move. He provides a great balance to April and brings some humor and humanity to a movie filled with a lot of fantasy. Vern is almost the analogue for the audience, so giving him a major bit, does us all some good.
The Turtles themselves seem most similar to their current Nickelodeon incarnation (which makes sense, since Nickelodeon was pulling all the strings.). Mikey and Donnie are the most obvious, sounding and acting almost exactly like their current cartoon counterparts.
The laughs and action are balanced out perfectly throughout the film, making it a very fun ride. The SFX are top notch too.
Aside from removing Shredder and Splinter’s history, I LOVE the new origin story. But I shouldn’t be surprised, the new origin story was entirely created for the film by original Turtles creator Kevin Eastman. Some people will gripe, but that’s mostly just nostalgia clouding the mind.
Shredder’s fighting ability, especially in his new armor, is stellar! You can actually believe that this single old Japanese dude can kick the ass of all four turtles. He is a more than formidable opponent and it completely tests the Turtles skills to their absolute limit. It’s just a shame that he doesn’t have any character depth.
All in all I really enjoyed it and I hope it’s a big hit so I can see a sequel where we can get into the character’s personalities, goals and ambitions more. Darkening the theme would quite possibly make the sequel the best Turtles yet. I didn’t think it was as good as the 1990 film, but I admit that that is complete nostalgia talking.
Truth be told, I will probably be seeing it again.
Me and my son absolutely love tmnt! I’m going this weekend to see it with my husband I’m super excited! I’ve been counting down the days! I already know it’s gonna be amazing! The design of the turtles alone is amazing! They look awesome!! Would love to have the fatheads for my son! He would be so excited!
I am undoubtedly in love with this movie. It has been a huge success and ,even though it cuts a few parts that use to be in the old movies, I am still amazed at how they brought he ninja turtles to life once again and the modern advances are magnificent.. I am greatly addicted to the ninja turtles. My room is decorated in everything TMNT and I would love to add more decorations that accommodate to this new movie that I have no decorations for so far. This is an amazing movie but it is still not in compare to the old movies that follow along with the looks of the comics..but I am in love with the new look
This movie was the perfect reboot. I grew up watching the turtles and now my kids are. Both of them (6 & 4) loved the movie. Being abe to have a series that I grew up watching now reborn for my kids to grow up watching is truly amazing. These would look amazing in the house with the or Gina movie posters I have.
The TMNT movies is amazing! Hands down the coolest compare and contrast to the original movie! I thought the movie was filled with action and laughter, with Raphs power to Mikey’s humor and free flowing mind. To me this movie is two thumbs up and a 99 cheese pizza!! Can’t wait for the next one!!!
Personally loved the new movie , don’t know why people would expect it to be exactly the same as any other iteration we’ve seen. The 80s cartoon wasn’t like the comics, the movies weren’t the cartoon, etc. just be glad we’ve had the pleasure of the turtles for 30 years now. This movie left it’s own mark in the history of turtles. If I win can I please get Raphael =)
Shell shocked give me a mikey cowabunga dudes
I think this rendition of the turtles is amazingly done. I am a long time turtles fan starting from the beginning and was excited when the talk came out that there would be a new movie. After seeing it I cannot wait for the next one!!!!
COWABUNGA! That just about says it all! The movie was everything I was hoping it would be and then a whole lot more. Even though Raphael was the size of the Hulk I think they nailed it !
Loved the movie! I knew I would, I like how they stayed true to each ones personality, Mikey cracked me up 😉
Absolutely Loved It…can’t wait to buy it on DVD’S 🙂
I liked it, especial the fact that they actually looked like turtles in this one. Brings back childhood memories. My son was ecstatic about it!!!
I loved the movie is was amazing my favorite is still Leo
In all honesty, the movie was a painful experience for me. First let me state that I am not opposed to change, or necessarily even reinterpretations of the material, as long as it is respectful and has the spirit of the original. This new film had none of that, it did carry references to the previous entries yes, but it had none of the heart and soul of the turtles within it. Truthfully it didn’t even have anything within the aesthetic of the film itself to clearly mark it as a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movie. You could quite literally have taken almost any hero from any action franchise and dropped them into the film instead of the turtles, and the story would not have changed. On top of all of that, the turtles were quite literally so overpowered that the Shredder, the signature villain of the franchise, would never have posed any sort of a threat to them without his Mecha-suit.
Speaking of the Shredder, despite being a significant icon in this series, we got absolutely no development, and certainly no real buildup to him as a character. He was for all intent and purposes completely insignificant to the story except as “The Bad Guy”. His actions were completely questionable (such as leaving Raphael on the ground without finishing the job, and completely ignoring the fact that April and Vern were just above trying to free the rest of them), and his ultimate goal was extremely undefined.
Of course then we have the Turtles themselves, also never really fleshed out, though perhaps given more buildup. But even then, while there are those who say they nailed the personalities, I have to disagree. Only in the most superficial sense were these the turtles, some of the basic stereotyping done, but none of the development, and we see absolutely no growth in these characters at all. In every other incarnation of the franchise, they were actually given development, (though sometimes not as much as we might have preferred) but in this film there was none. Even Raph, despite his lengthy speech toward the end, really never change from the first frame in which we saw him (In fact, we never really saw any of the moody behavior he was apologizing for in the first place).
The issues with this film are long and many (such as the Foot being Mercenaries, Splinter somehow becoming a master of Ninjitsu from a picture book, te obscene coincidences tied to the origin, etc.), and I could go on for quite a while longer, but in essence I believe I have covered my thoughts with this movie. I found it a hollow, heartless mockery of everything that the Turtles are and have been, and found sitting through the movie utterly painful. On one final note, I would like to speak on the matter of Michael Bay as a Producer. Yes we are very aware he produced the movie and did not direct it, and yes we are aware that they are by definition different roles. However, I do wish people would stop constantly reciting “Michael Bay only produced this film” as if that actually means anything. Historically Producers have very frequently interfered with, dictated and even shadow directed films, it literally happens all of the time, and when we talk about Michael Bay being involved, it is because he has openly shown us his involvement, and his fingerprints are all over this film. I hope everyone has a good afternoon.
Donatello is my favorite because he’s smart and my favorite color is purple and I love his nerdy look. I have been more then I a diehard fan ever since I began watching the show and reading the comics..the new movie was amazing and I give a standing ovation to the director of this movie! I am in love with the new look! The way you guys brought this movie to life was just gratifying..bravo and must I say….cowabunga!
This is the best Ninja turtle movie so far. The original was awesome for its time but for this generation this one kicks ass. I am very impressed.
The turtles are still the turtles despite their new look, shredder is still a bad a. I couldn’t care less that Megan Fox played April. It was nice to see the turtles being rained as kids. Origin story works with the story of the movie. It was just a good movie.
I loved it. It really showed how far Hollywood has come in the past 20 years. The cgi was amazing, and the action was breath taking. Turtles kept me laughing all the way through. The elevator scene was hilarious! Mikey (who has always been my favorite) stole the show with his witty one liners. Raph’s speech toward the end almost had me in tears. Instant classic.
This was the best movie I’ve ever seen – can’t describe it in any other way. Saw it twice so far with my wife and plan on seeing it again this weekend with my bro.
Loved the movie glad they finally made another one great director loved megan fox. overall just a great movie.
Will always love the old school Turtles, but the love the new school too! Can not wait for the 2nd one!
Way better than expected. It was nice to see Splinter actually fighting proving why his their master/father. The turtles still had that lovable and laughable feel to them that made the movie flow. The only thing I will say negative about this movie is the fact that The Foot Clan aren’t ninjas just thugs with guns.
Omg that movie was the shot my kids loved it my son got out of his sit and stared doing some of there fight moves lol it was the cites thing ever ever one loved it go ninja go ninja go
I really loved and hated the new movie. The action was great and overall the feel was super fun but every single character was underdeveloped. The shredder was completely gutted of anything interesting as a character and his lore has so much to draw from. I’m excited movies are being made again bit am disheartened that the writers are not taking the turtles seriously and treating it just like a cash grab. Fun movie but lacked any kind of heart or soul.
Took the whole family to see TMNT on opening night. We love it. Deffently the best TMNT movie made to date. We have the original and secret of the ooz on VHS. Love that I can enjoy a cartoon with my kids that I enjoyed watching with my younger brother as a kid. Awesome!
I thought the movie was full of action and family fun for everyone. I thought it made the ninja turtle franchise better then what it was. My favorite out of all of turtles throughout the movie would have to be Mikey. He was by far funnier than what he was in the previous ones. But Leo is still my favorite out of all of the turtles.
Raphael is my favorite turtle because he can be hard headed one minute and funny the next and you don’t mess with his family period
Ive been an addicted and diehard fan of all things TMNT my whole life, and the new movie was better than I could have ever imagined! Michelangelo has always been favorite and I’m DJ so the “MC Mikey” quotes had me more excited than a kid in a candy store. Great movie, i’ll probably go again tomorrow.
I thought the movie was well done. The story was intresting and the turtles were true to their character. April oneil could have been cast much better and the lips on the turtles were awkward. The action was intense and was great seeing the turtles using their weapons in a live action movie again. Not the best tmnt movie but definitely not the worst.
I LOVE them all..!!!!
Looking forward to seeing this movie with family
Thought the movie was Awesome!
made me feel like a kid again for thie first time in a long time. Cannot wait to see it again.
Michelangelo is my man and loved everything bout the movie. Been watching since I was kid and this has to be the best I have seen.
Loved this movie! I was hoping they wouldn’t change it up too much, & they didnt. I am a HUGE TMNT fan & have been since I was 5! This movie didn’t let me down, & def want to see again! Michaelangelo was hilarious!
I loved this movie ! My kids loved this movie! Laughed all the way to the end. I actually grew on liking their new look. We can’t wait till the next one comes out. New turtles New Era! #TMNT
I am a tmnt fan from way back and alwayswill be at first I wasn’t to sure about the new movie, but I have to say I am very pleased with what i watched it was amazing from the storyline to the actorsand voices welldone is what I say.
Hi I like Mikey in the film he is Cool funny and more. I like how all the turtles have different personality’s there not the same as each other. I really want to win one of theses. big TMNT fan oh and in this movie I like how Shredder is Tough and Splinter is more tougher to just like he was in 03 series. sorry If I am not giving much of a opinion I have not seen the Film yet I plan on to very soon tho. but what I seen by trailers it seems cool.
I was very surprised how good it was saw it three times. Loved the story line and how they took alot of things from the 90’s version and used it in the new one to give that generation of fans what they were looking for. Cant wait to see part ll when it comes out.
Great Movie! I’ve already seen it twice and still want to see it again. I appreciate that the movie put a new spin on the turtles, while staying true to their personalities, and paying homage to every previous iteration. Well Done.
Overall I think it was pretty good. I mean, missing out on some good fight scenes and not really showing how they differ very much. But all in all, pretty good.
All I can say is what the hell was with Shredder? He just kind of showed up with hardly even a passing mention of his motivation. I think it was a hasty edit to appease the fans complaining about the non-Japanese William Fincher playing Shredder.
The movie was awesome 🙂 i like how they are trying to change it up a bit and start fresh! It was funny and action filled!
I’ll admit, before I saw the movie, I thought for sure that I wasn’t going to like it, but I was wrong!I’ve been a fan since the 80’s and I was sure that I didn’t want to see this new version. But my husband and I took our 3 kids, and it was awesome!!!!! I want to go see it again, and I can’t wait to buy it when it come out on video!
The Ninja Turtles have been a staple my whole life! The movie was awesome! Although different from the originals, you can’t go wrong with any that has to do with these 4 dudes! Cowabunga!
I thought it was great!!!! made me feel like a kid again!!!!!!
The movie was awesome and Raph was a complete beast.
I was disappointed. It’s not because I’m stuck in the past, it’s because of the lack of depth. I know most people would say “it’s the turtles, it’s only for fun”, but if you are a fan of the new comics, old comics, and even the some of the cartoon renditions you would know that depth and fun can coincide greatly. No Hamato Yoshi and Oroku Saki feud left a sour taste in my mouth.
It did have some good to it though. I think a sequel could fix the holes in this first one, but sadly it’s not the TMNT movie a lot of die hard fans wanted. The turtles personalities were pretty spot on and the only turtle that was hard to get used to was Leo. He didn’t have the leader feel and it took a little bit of time to get used to knoxville as the voice. He didn’t do bad, though, and it didn’t take away from the character.
The movie was awesome. Yeah there could of been somethings they could have changed like the turtles fighting the foot clan more like when the turtles went into the that room full of foot clan they should of fought through them instead of going to the elevator. But besides that the turtles and shredder look really bad ass. The movie made me as excited as I was when I was a kid growing up and now my son can enjoy it as much me.
I seriously just watched it today and I loved it. My friends and I were fangirling and crying and everything. It was a great surprise to low expectations.
I was so excited to see TMNT, my friend and I are big fans of the turtles. We used to play all the games and watch the cartoons and movies. When I first heard about it I thought it would be kind of stupid, but it was amazing! I am so glad I was able to see it. Michael Bay actually did a great job. It would be awesome to have the fathead in my room. It was a shell of a time
Haven’t seen it yet but am dying to take my kids. My son has finally picked his favorite, he’s a turtle kid just like I was and still am. 🙂 Turtle power!!
Love TMNT! Donatello is my all time favorite because of his wisdom. 🙂 also loved the comedy. Go ninja go ninja go!
Movie was awesome I my eyes had everything and most of all enjoyed it
I loved the movie so much and im not just saying that. I have been waiting to see it since i saw the trailer at the beginning of summer. I went to see it on the 8th when it came out and it was amazing! Even if i don’t get the prize I just wanted to say that it was AWESOME!
I grew up watching the turtles. No matter how old I get I will always love them. They are funny, cool, and even in the golden years bad ass fighters. When I first saw that they were rebooting the new movie i’ll admit I was a little wary. However, I went to see them the night before it released to theaters for an early showing and absolutely fell in love with it. I even went again to see it the next day. In one word I would describe this movie as TURTLERIFIC (not quite sure how to spell that lol). I want to see it again and will defiantly get the movie when it comes out on DVD. To put in who my favorite turtle is… well that hard. I have an even tie between Raphael (Just because he is the bad ass tough guy), and Leonardo (who I admire because of his sense of honor and loyalty).
Unfortunately I haven’t had the opportunity to see this movie, but even with the various bad reviews others have given it, I’m still going and still super excited!!!
In all honesty, most people are complaining about the new styles the turtles have been given. However, I believe that the sheer amount of detail put into every single one of them is fantastic!!! The one and only problem I have with it is that Raph looks a little too buff. I mean, I know that he is a mutated turtle/human hybrid that doesn’t have a defined limit of muscle mass, but in my opinion, he looks as though he was on steroids. Please don’t take offense to that!!! I’m just stating my opinion.
But other than that, everything else looks great! Especially Donnie!!!
Many people are complaining that Donnie looks too ‘small’ or ‘weak’ but I believe this just better defines his character!! 😀 and here is why;
Back in the time when they were just little turtle tots, instead of spending his free time rough housing with his brothers, skateboarding, or doing extra training, Little Donnie spent his time reading the books that Master Splinter brought home from the dump. Books about science, math, mechanics, etc.. And as he grew, so did his passion for learning and understanding what was in those books. So, the lack of interest in his training and/or building up his strength counts to why he wouldn’t have as large of a muscle mass like his brothers. Also, because of Donnie’s passion to learn and experiment, as he grew he often got so caught up in his work that he would forget to eat and sleep, many times being forced from his little solitude by his family just to insure he didn’t kill himself in his passion to learn. So, not only would his lack of interest in food aide in the inability to gain muscle mass, but the fact that his body was also exhausted from the long hours and days without sleep would put a strain on his body, effecting both his immune system and muscles. Which is also why he is seen suffering from illnesses much more often than the rest of his family.
Anyway, there is my little rant. I honestly love how their gear goes so well with their personality. Mikey’s gangster look to match his carefree attitude, Raph’s wrappings to show off his impressive muscles more and accentuate them, Leo’s Samurai-type armor because of how strongly he follows the bushido code, and Donnie’s various tech gear and solar panels!!!!
IT’S AMAZING!!
I’m so excited for this movie and I can’t wait!!!!!!
I love teenage mutant ninja turtles and my little boy loves them too. 🙂
I love being a turtle and love pizza too.
I was always a huge fan of the Ninja Turtles as a kid and I still am. The movie was great, I enjoy seeing a story from other points of view. Story changes are inevitable but these were rendered beautifully. Mikey is and always was my favorite. Now I have a 2 year old who loves them too.
Despite some good moments, this movie made me realize what a great thing we had going with Turtles 3.
Loved it going again this weekend
My son and I are so stoked to see this!
I loved the movie, being a fan for 30 years of turtles, having everything from comics on up, this was so far my fav. I loved how they mixed everything into one thing! Raph has always been my fave, my kids are now getting into it and are learning which one is their fave. My daughter loves Donnie, she loved that he now has glasses like she does. My son always loved Mikey. They did a great job!
I loved the new movie. There were a few small things that I was disappointed in, but those were mainly things that were cut from the movie. I was looking forward to seeing April and Raphael walking around the city while Raph was in disguise, but I guess I can wait until the Blu-ray comes out. Overall I was really happy with the final outcome, and I can’t wait for the sequel and the home release (obviously in reverse order). Although Michelangelo stole the show, Raphael has always been my favorite turtle. (Casey Jones is my favorite non-turtle character, so put him in the sequel… please.) Raph’s got an anger problem, he’s a loner, and he likes getting things done. He reminds me of myself, but he’s way cooler.
I loved the movie overall, but felt Sacks unnecessary, Shredder underdeveloped and disappointed in the slight change in back story – Hamato Yoshi??
The movie exceeded my expectations and it felt great to see the turtles on the big screen again. I hope the sequal(s) will be just as good or even better.
just love TMNT!!! plain and simple
I saw this movie twice and loved it both times. The turtles look amazing, Splinter looks amazing, and the action and fight were amazing. I almost cried three times in this movie. Ones for Splinter, ones for Raphael, and for some reason the origin story! It was beautiful. The Shredder was scary! I think their is more to him that what they gave us, and I want to learn more a bout this Shredders story. Megan Fox did alright has April and Will Arnett was funny (but Michelangelo was funnier). I loved seeing splinter fight in this move it was beyond amazing, I mean I’ve seen Splinter fight in the cartoons and Next Mutation but this movie takes the cake. I can’t wait for Jun 3 2016. GO NINJA GO NINJA GO!!
My husband (as I) have been die hard fans since we were little. We have now passed that love onto our 2 little boys! Our sons would die to win this fathead! Awesome give away!!! The movie was amazing.. excited to see part 2 in 2016!
Loved the movie, Leonardo is my favorite, but Michelangelo is my son’s favorite 🙂
Loved the movie, almost as good as the originals. I kind of wished the shredder was implemented more into the story line. Cowabunga says it all!
I thought overall the movie was good, even with nostalgia not withholding. Although for anyone young or old I felt the origin was rushed even though it was changed from the comics, old cartoon and old movies. However it was great for me as a turtle fan and I objectively loved it. It was nice to see raph not the one captured or in solo danger to start the fight with shredder, tmnt 1 and 2 he was always being rescued now he got his shot! Grats all around!!
it was awesome loved every minute of it
We went sand saw the movie Saturday morning for my sons birthday.. we are a huge TMNT family from both my husband and I right down to my four boys.. (yup I got my own TMNT gang) and it was so amazing.. I was so worried following this movie that it was going to be a disaster, but its nothing short of spectacular! The graphics, the one liners and even Raphs thick Brooklyn accent was just exceeded our expectations! Just to prove how great this movie is.. my son (the birthday boy) has had a hard start in life being a victim of lead poisoning and has suffered alot of damage to his body and mind and its hard for him to process alot of information or images.. and cant stay still very long.. my baby boy was glued to that screen! I have yet to ever seen him watch an entire movie and stay still and ask to see it again right after it was finished! Its just great.. every TMNT movie has its critics who say it wasn’t great and keep comparing it to the old school ones, but I couldn’t disagree more. I love the slight difference in the movie and love the original stuff the updated even more. Growing up in Brooklyn I have always loved Raphael the most because he talked like everyone I knew. The CGI was top notch and if you haven’t seen it yet then you dont even deserve to be on this website.. and are sorely missing out on the best movie of 2014! Love all my fellow shell head and always Cowabunga!
I have not been excited about the franchise since i saw the first renditions of what the turtles would look like. I’ve been a turtles fan for almost 30 years. I will eventually see this film but I don’t have high expectations.
Plot wise, the movie was crap. Big glaring holes of inconsistancy and forced emotional attackments. Characters were way under-developed and background-less. The humor was forced and interchangable one-liners. And holy sh*t, how many stupid pizza bits can you shove in one film?!
All that said, I LOVE it!! It definately drew alot of influence from the old Fred Wolf cartoon and was tribute to the stupid 90s aire of that show. And thats the fun, the turtles have always been a tongue-in-cheeck jab at everyone and everything. There is already a spot on my shelf for this movie as well as the newly announced sequel!!
The film is amazing always loved the turtles from a young age watched all the cartoons and old movies 🙂
True TMNT family!!! On our way to the movies on Saturday!
Picture didn’t load..its too bad I have so many of my boys being lil turtles..
My grandson loved the new movie…he likes all the turtles but mike is his fav….love how you brought the turtles to life…
I thought it was highly entertaining, been a turtle fanatic since I was a kid. I wasn’t a huge fan of the movies turtle origin story, and I think there was far too much dialogue between mikey & april. Seemed like they were the center of the movie. They needed to branch out on each turtle to show who they are
My Children love TMNT!! My husband and I grew up watching them so now we can share our love of the turtles with them 🙂 My daughter had to see the movie on opening day so my husband took my oldest two children to see the movie and it was awesome! Each of my children have a favorite. We are definitely a TMNT family!
been loving these guys since the 80,s and 90’s when I was a little kid
I just seen the movie yesterday, I have to say I love the movie!! Megan Fox was much better in this movie than she was in Transformers. April O’Neil was a much better role for her to play. I think they casted well for all the turtles. I especially love how they made April and the Guys’ almost destined to meet again because of the brief backstory that had been shown in the movie. All in all it was an amazing film, and I hope Bay keeps feeding the fandom with more awesome movies like this one!
#TMNTMovie was:
Awesome!
Bodacious!
Bitchin’!
Gnarly!
Radical!
Totally tubular, dude!
Wicked!
Hellacious!
#COWABUNGA
I got to see it 3 times this weekend and loved it. My kids and I did a turtles marathon before it came out then saw the new movie on Thursday we all loved it. I got to go again on my friday with some friends for a birthday we all felt like kids again. The third time was Sunday with my parents my kids were so excited that their grandparents wanted to go then right before the movie started 3 of my childhood friends showed up with their kids! It was great to have all the people I love enjoying something I have loved since I was a kid and know get to share with my children. TURTLE POWER!
While the story had its holes the best part was how they portrayed the turtles interaction. They were really funny together. The toughest change to swallow was that Splinter and Shredder were not directly connected. Without Homato Yoshi, Splinters dislike of Saki is much different and less emotionally attached.
Comment for my kid!
the new movie was great funny and action packed raph is my fav because he is “cool but rude”
The new tmnt movie has been something that I’ve been looking forward to for 2 1/2 years now and some of the movie was a disappointment but most of it was amazing. The bad: there were to many just April scenes and not enough turtles, the turtles were bullet proof??, and I didn’t feel like Vern really fit into the plot. The good: the turtles look AMAZING, the shredder was awesome and pretty bad ass in the movie, dialogue between the turtles was awesome and hilarious, I liked out michey flirted with April (it was cute), every character was portrayed correctly (leo the strong and loyal leader/student, raph the hothead who will do anything to protect his family, Donnie the computer nerd with mad bo staff skills, and michey the fun loving jokester), and their loyalty to their sensei and brotherhood was prominent. I could go on and on for days about how much I loved this movie but for the sake of time I’ll leave you with this: the turtles a a HUGE part of my life and I enjoyed myself while watching it and will when I go back to the theater soon to watch it again. 🙂
I’m nearly in love with this movie.
It was paced fairly well, some scenes seemed like they were scabbed in or not enough of time to finish. The action scenes were fantastic and the comedy is really great. It had the potential to be much bigger than it was with everything that was given. Story line could have been developed a little bit more with 30 or so minutes added to the movie. Too many plot holes.
They took a risk on the new designs for every character and I think they paid off. These new big burly mini hulk Turtles are awesome. At first I was feeling completely unfamiliar with these guys because of this whole new redesign but that quickly changed when their personalities came through. The voice actors on every turtle solidified this for me. Nailed it, even Johnny Knoxville surprisingly. Only voice I didn’t care for was Splinter but even then it grew with me over the movie.
Megan Fox as April was my only real questionable decision going into this movie. I had no problem with her at all.
Some parts of the story line seemed a bit too coincidental for my liking but after all it’s for the kids. Coincidental line of events to me are nothing more than keeping the story less complex for a younger audience. Of course as an adult you see something like that and say “No F’n way would that happen” but it’s a movie and aimed at kids don’t forget. Nothing to shake your head at. Though as I mentioned above it would have been nice to lengthen the story line some and delve a little deeper.
It definitely earned it’s PG13 rating. If this were a PG film it’d be a bust from the get go. The Violence was just about right. One scene even surprised me with what it showed in terms of violence.
Overall if you watch this with the mindset that you aren’t this All Knowing TMNT God, the kid in you will enjoy this movie. I liked it besides some small gripes here and there (as that “all knowing”) and I’m sticking with that I really enjoyed this movie. I feel sorry for any who can’t.
I’m a huge fan of the Turtles. I’ve seen all six of the movies, and this is definitely one of my favorites. I heard so much about the movie before that I was a little skeptical. But then either Peter Laird or Kevin Eastman, I don’t remember which, said that they were super excited for their fans to see the movie. I threw my skepticism out the window and became obsessed. And I was not disappointed. Honestly, I didn’t pay much attention to any of the human characters. Every time the Turtles came on screen I would squeal and bounce in my seat. I was like a small child. I loved it so much that I went to see it again the next day!
After having time to sit down and ponder the movie I can see some plot holes and ways it could have been better, but I still love it. The Turtles’ new look is unique and exciting. I look forward to seeing Casey, Bebop, and Rocksteady in the sequels, it’ll bring back some awesomeness from the original cartoon, and Casey is just plain awesome. I grew up with the 2003 show, but really became a fan when the new show sucked me in.
I’m actually moving this week, and have been wondering what to do with my new room. I Ninja Turtle on my wall would be perfect!
The origin story was… interesting. I was disappointed that Hamato Yoshi wasn’t even mentioned, or had anything to do with the Turtles. Splinter learning ninjitsu from a book seems a little forced, but doable. I myself have tried to learn karate from a book, with my brother, even if eventually we gave up on it.
I loved the turtle tot scenes. They’re so cute! All in all, I think the movie’s fantastic and will definitely watch it many more times. I should stop rambling now, sorry ’bout that.
My family and I LOVED it!!! We are watching it again this weekend! (Also, my son is now asking for a TMNT themed birthday party and is adamant that it be the ones from the movie… its in November so hopefully there will be party supplies out based on the movie by then!)
raph is my favorite because he gets mad all the time and so do i ans i love the color red. i love this new movie cowabunga bros
I loved the movie. I took my 11 and 3 year old sons. We laughed and had so much fun. I’ve been a huge fan since the 80s and my sons are huge fans now.
I love the Ninja turtles ( Donnie is my favorite though)
This movie was simply one word, and one word alone “AMAZING!!!” I can not wait to race out to the theater and see it again and for the dvd release to own it, and now that the sequel has been called for cannot wait for that date either. I loved these movie growing up and I love what Micheal has done to bring them in to the new age!! The Graphics were awesome and the fight scenes are off the charts. So in closing owning one of these would be epic!! #raph!!!
Great movie kids my kids loved it.
I went into the movie with a clean slate for the turtles. I knew these weren’t the turtles of my generation but of a new one and that’s how I treated it. I was honestly pleasntly surprised with this movie. I enjoyed the new designs of the turtles and how their look complemented their personalities. I wasn’t a fan of Megan Fox as April O’neal but it didn’t annoy me as much as I thought it would. Also I wasn’t a fan of the design for Splinter either, it just didn’t sit well for me. As far as the movie goes I found myself having the same kind of fun I did with the original movies. One of my favorite scenes was the elevator scene when they started making a beat and I was living it the whole time. Overall it was a lot of fun and I can’t wait to watch it again and watch the sequel!
I was more impressed by the film than I originally anticipated. I mean I had the bar pretty high and expected it to be so cringe worthy I would be demanding my money back. But here I sit, my orange 3D glasses still clipped to my “chicks dig guys that eat out” 80’s turtles tee happily anticipating the inevitable sequel. I will see it again, I will own the special edition blu ray of this movie and I will defend this marvelous yet flawed adaptation until my untimely demise. 8/10! Must See!
I’m a huge teenage mutant ninja turtles I like Mikey Ralph Leo and Donny and master splinter they all looked so awsome I love the movie so much that I saw it twice and I’m going to buy it when it first comes out on dvd the teenage mutant ninja turtles are my childhood Hero’s I love them all so much it’s hard to pick which one is my favorite
I haven’t seen it yet, but I can’t wait. I’m taking my son to see it after his first week of school and he would flip his lid if he came how and found one of these Fatheads on his wall! Fingers crossed!!!!
I’m a long-time TMNT fan and I loved the movie! I think they did a fantastic job keeping the turtles true to the franchise. They made it modern but kept them as believable and interesting teenagers. I know a lot of people were expecting a really gritty look at the turtles, and I was so impressed with the way they blended live action grit with enjoyable comedy. The turtles felt real, the comedy wasn’t forced, and I think the bond between the brothers in this movie is one of my favorite incarnations in all of the turtle verse.
When I first saw the Trailer for TMNT I became quite skeptical about the movie meeting my expectations. I was so skeptical to the point of not bothering to go see it in the movie theatre until today. I changed my mind because I wanted to get out of the house after experiencing an emotional draining week. I figured some nostalgia would be good for me. The movie was a great experience. I got so into it to the point of my eyes tearing up during the fight between Splinter and Shredder because I’ve had a soft spot for Splinter ever since I was real little. I never thought this movie would bring me great joy but it turned my whole evening around. On top of enjoying the movie, I was able to talk the usher into giving me all four of the 3D glasses with an extra one to use so I could have all of them unopened. I chose the extra one to be purple because Donnie is my favorite! 🙂
Loved this movie!! I love the fact that even with a couple of twists in the story line the basic principles of the turtles stayed true! Even though he is not my fav. Mikey most definitely had be rolling all move long and that free style in the elevator was priceless!!! Splinter was beast mode as well!! It was a very cool modern upgrade in my opinion to the turtles! Excellent job and great movie cannot wait until it’s out on Blu ray!!
I loved this movie! It was better than I hoped for! Michel Bay did an amazing job on this movie but that’s my opinion. I loved Raph’s adittude, and pretty much everything else! My only issue is that they gave Donnie glasses. Where would he get them? How would they get his prescription right? I don’t really think they thought that part through so that could be worked on for next time. Overall I would rate this movie an A. And if anyone disagrees go ahead because this is what I think not you.
I really didn’t have any issues with the new look. I felt that the plot was rushed and made little sense. There is no Hamato Yoshi or or anything tying the Turtles to Shredder. Why Shredder even cares about the Turtles is barely touched on. I thought that with motion capture the fight scenes would be better, but they seemed to have been animated for the most part. There are a couple of cool moments, but I feel that the original movie, animated TMNT movie, Turltes Forever, and the new cartoon on Nickelodeon have more plot, emotion, humor, and action than this movie. It felt that this movie was made only for kids and there was very little for the older fans. There was not much fun in this movie either with the exception of a few lines. I really hope the next one is better, I was really looking forward to this movie, but it really didn’t seem like it was made with any care for the history of the characters.
I loved every second of the movie. I really enjoyed the modern approach.
I thought it was great. It departed from the established story, but had several allusions to the turtle history (Eastman & Laird ninjitsu book, April picking up Raph’s sai) to show that they respect the history. They have to make new style and conventions for this incarnation of the turtles and I think they’re off for a great start. Seeing the turtles as kids and infants was great, I would even like to see a spinoff movie of the tween ninja turtles.
I loved it. Yes it had some holes. It was fantastic seeing my heroes in a half shell back on the big screen. Saw it twice. Goin again tonight booyakasha!!!!

The Movie was epic I loved everything about it! The funniest part was when Donnie said Oh my gosh they have guns! LOL
I loved the movie! I thought it wouldn’t be as good because of Megan Fox as April, but she wasn’t bad at all! My favorite part was when Donnie said Oh my gosh they have guns! Also when he said I’m the one who licks he icing off the pop tarts and puts them back in the package LOL!!! The movie was so amazing and I am going to see it every week I can until it comes out on DVD!!!
Not everyone has a TMNT tattoo! Make sure you have a preflight doughnut before you go and see the movie. It’s action packed!
