NECA Teases Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (1990) Michelangelo Figure

Just last week, NECA revealed some of the first images for their latest TMNT figure based on Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (1990). The series began with Donatello, and Raphael is set to follow his brother with a release sometime in the next few months. Even though they just unveiled their first detailed images of Raph, it would appear that NECA is so excited about their latest collection that they are already teasing Mikey’s appearance. Needless to say, the teaser image they shared couldn’t have been more appropriate.

As you can see, Michelangelo is staring at some pizza longingly and giving us a thumbs up. If you’re like me, there are at least a few quotes from the original movie running through your head right about now. Although we only get to see him from the side, it’s fair to say that the quality of these figures continues to impress. NECA’s Michelangelo figure is looking pretty darn good, and chances are that we can expect this level of quality from their Leonardo figure as well.

Something tells me that all four of these TMNT figures will be available by this time next year. If NECA is already giving us a teaser image of their Michelangelo figure, we’re probably going to see him on the market by next spring. Leonardo will likely follow shortly thereafter, and then the series will be complete. If you haven’t already begun to collect these figures, you might want to get started with your collection; at around $100 a piece, these are some of the most highly detailed and inexpensive Ninja Turtles collectibles we have ever seen.
