Anyone who has been paying attention to the presidential election in the United States probably understands just how crazy the experience has become. As a matter of fact, I’ve been happy to avoid discussing the matter here on the site until now. Thankfully, the only reason to bring it up is to talk about a hilarious video made by some of the biggest nerds on the internet. The creators at Aggressive Comix have decided to run their own election with three of the most notorious villains known to geek kind: The Joker, Cobra, and Shredder!

In addition to posting a poll and asking people to vote, they also created three campaign videos for each candidate. If you want to hear Shredder speak for himself, just check out the video below. Among his more disturbing promises is a bowl of turtle soup for voters, which of course evokes some classic imagery of the villain. Whether you support him or not, you’ve got to admit that this it a pretty hilarious little video. Heck, I almost felt compelled to vote for this guy over any of the actual candidates!

Of course, Cobra and The Joker both have their fine points as well. If you want to see their videos and vote for one of the three villain candidates, make sure to head on over to AgressiveComix.com. Honestly, I think we’d all vote for the turtles over Shredder, but the heroes are always forced to hide in the shadows. Besides which, do you really think Oroku Saki will be able to make good on his promises? So far, he hasn’t had a whole lot of success in taking out our heroes in a half shell, so I doubt that turtle soup will actually be on the table.

Whatever the case may be, this is definitely a nice distraction and a fun little jab at current events. Here’s hoping we all come out of this election unscathed.
