NYCC 2016 Exclusive Super Shredder Toy Reveals Character Design

Nickelodeon revealed a lot of details about their plans for Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles at this year’s New York Comic-con. We now know that the Super Shredder will be making an appearance very soon, and several fans are very stoked to see that happen. Unfortunately, we won’t know exactly what he looks like until the show returns in November – or will we? Apparently, Playmates Toys was giving away Super Shredder figures to certain fans at the convention, and we now have our first look at the toy design for this character.

This Super Shredder toy looks fairly interesting, to say the least. Of course, there’s no guarantee that the action figure looks exactly the same as the character in Nickelodeon’s Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, but chances are that they got the likeness down pretty well. Although Playmates Toys was once well known for releasing TMNT figures that were nothing like the characters in the original animated series, it’s fair to say that their latest line has been far more accurate. Oh, and if they developed this Super Shredder toy for NYCC 2016, chances are that they will be selling them in a store near you very soon.

I don’t know about you, but I think this TMNT action figure looks pretty darn cool. It’s nice to see Nickelodeon referencing Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles II: The Secret of the Ooze, and this wouldn’t even be the first time that they’ve done so. Earlier this year, Tokka made an appearance in the fourth season, and Rahzar has been an established character for quite some time. Needless to say, if you haven’t been keeping up with the show, this might be a good time to catch up!
