New TMNT Minimates Revealed

It’s hard to believe that we’ve already seen three series of TMNT Minimates from Diamond Select toys. They were the first to release a toy of Ice Cream Kitty, and they’ve produced a lot of excellent Ninja Turtles figures since then. Now Diamond Select has unveiled the latest series in their Ninja Turtles line, featuring several toys based on character designs from the latest season of Nickelodeon’s Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.

Whether you elect to get the blind bags or wait for them to release series four in multipacks, it’s nice to see that they are still putting a lot of effort into this line. Series four will include Leo and Donnie in their space suits, which are straight out of the latest season of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. In addition to these figures, Fugitoid and a Triceraton warrior are also featured in the latest series of TMNT Minimates alongside villains such as Baxter Stockman and Oroku Saki. It’s crazy to think about all of the different characters that they still have yet to represent in this toy line, but that just means that we have a lot to look forward to in the future.

Typically sold at a price point between $6 and $15 each, you can expect to find series four on the shelves this June in comic book stores and other shops that sell collectible figures. Alternatively, you can also pick up an entire box of blind bags, but that will cost you quite a pretty penny. At $5.99 per figure, the cost for 18 blind bags from series three is $107.82 on the Diamond Select web store. Expect the prices for this latest series to fall in line with previous examples in the toy line.

What do you think? Are these TMNT toys worth picking up when they come out in June of 2016? Are you a fan of the Minimates TMNT figures? Let us know in the comments below!

My name is Justin Wren and I love to write about the TMNT! I've been a big Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles fan since the late 80's. Back then, I would watch the original animated series and play with the Playmates toys all the time. I have been following the boys ever since I was a kid, and I'm very happy to see them back in the limelight after all these years. Needless to say, I'm proud to be a member of the team on this awesome TMNT Fan Site!
