TMNT 2 Update: Karai will be played by Brittany Ishibashi

We have another casting update for Teenage Mutant NInja Turtles 2!

“Karai” will be played by actress Brittany Ishibashi. Karai will be a prominent character in the upcoming Summer 2016 Turtles sequel, as she’ll be second-in-command of Shredder’s Foot Clan. As most Shell-Head already know, Karai used to be in Shredder’s right-hand.

Brittany Ishibashi has been working as an actress since 1999. She appeared in EAGLE EYE (2008), and has also appeared on such television series as Parenthood, Nip/Tuck, The Office. Appearing in Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2 will give Ishibashi a larger fan base. Being announced this late in the shooting of the sequel however may mean that she might not have much to do in the film itself, but that doesn’t mean that she won’t see ample time on the screen.

Hopefully Turtles 2 director Dave Green has paid attention to what some of the critics said about the 2014 film regarding the fight choreography and with the addition of Ishibashi, hopefully we’ll see the fight sequences really amped up in the sequel with all of these actors with martial arts experience.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2 is rumored to include an entire slate of villains, and while we’ve confirmed the inclusion of Rocksteady and Bebop–rumors are still abound about the additions of Krang and Baxter Stockman in the Summer 2016 release which is slated to hit your local multiplex on June 3rd, 2016.

My name is Justin Wren and I love to write about the TMNT! I've been a big Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles fan since the late 80's. Back then, I would watch the original animated series and play with the Playmates toys all the time. I have been following the boys ever since I was a kid, and I'm very happy to see them back in the limelight after all these years. Needless to say, I'm proud to be a member of the team on this awesome TMNT Fan Site!
