Gary Anthony Williams chosen for Bebop in Ninja Turtles 2

by Justin Bozung

Actor Gary Anthony Williams has been cast as “Bebop” in Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2. Williams will be one of two mutant-henchman under the powers of the evil Shredder. Williams will play the powerful boar-man hybrid that continues to wreck havoc upon New York City and the Turtles themselves. But, what of his sidekick, “Rocksteady?” Who will be hired to fill the role of the hideous-mutant Rhinoceros?

Williams got his start as an actor back in 1988 on the hit television series, In The Heat Of The Night.   Since then, he has been acting steadily, having amassed a whopping 145 credits on his acting resume.   Now Williams will strap on the CGI motion-capture suit and charge at us! TMNT 2 won’t be the role of his lifetime but appearing in the Michael Bay-produced sequel will, no doubt, earn him a army of new fans–young and old. That is, if he does a great job in the role. But, we here at Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.com have faith that Williams will live up the task of bringing Bebop to life on the big screen in the 2016 Summer sequel.

Williams is, in fact, just one of many new additions to TMNT 2: Half Shell. Also joining Williams in the new Turtles film are new faces: Stephan Amell and Brian Tee. Tee, most recently having played the villain opposite Hugh Jackman in The Wolverine. Also, joining the cast of Turtles 2 is veteran actress Laura Linney. Expect a next major cast announcement in the next few weeks.  Likely, we’ll find out who will fill the shoes of Rocksteady, and any day now.

Tell us your thoughts on the casting of Gary Anthony Williams as Bebop in the new Turtles film? Who would you like to see cast as Rocksteady?
