Only a few short weeks after joking about the possibility that CM Punk could show up as Krang in Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2, it is surprising to say that this might actually happen. Believe it or not, sources close to the production of the film are saying that Krang is supposedly going to show up in the sequel. Could it be possible that CM Punk auditioned for the role of Krang? Probably not, but at this point, anything is a possibility.
Whatever the case may be, what we do know is that Krang will most likely show up as a CGI character. The source who provided this information said that they were shooting a scene where Krang was supposed to appear on earth, but they also stated that the scene featured a lot of extras and nothing that actually looked like the baddie from Dimension X. In other words, if these rumors are true, it should be clear that they decided not to go with practical effects for any of this – but then that’s not exactly surprising given the direction of the first film.
Perhaps the most interesting aspect of this latest addition is the fact that it could mean the introduction of yet another character in this movie. All told, that would make five new additions (Casey Jones, Baxter Stockman, Bebop, Rocksteady and Krang) to one movie, leaving little time for each character to make their mark. Historically speaking, when you add too many dynamic characters to one comic book movie, it usually doesn’t fare to well. If you need any proof of this, just take a look at what happened with Spider-man 3 and Amazing Spider-man 2.
As loyal fans of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, if you tell us that we’re getting even more of our favorite villains and vigilantes, we’re going to get excited regardless; I mean, who wouldn’t want to see the development of all these stories on the big screen? That being said, it has to be at least a little bit concerning that they might actually try to add Krang into this movie. After all, if the first movie proved anything, it was that these characters need time to not only develop, but also just to breathe. If you try doing too much with just one movie, it could be a disaster in the making.
Oh, who am I kidding? Even though this may be a mistake, I still really want to see it. What do you guys think? Is adding Krang to the mix a good idea, or should they just wait until the third movie to introduce him? What kind of role will he have in this film? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below!

Kraang will most likely provide the technology to customize the mutagen, ultimately to create Bebop and Rocksteady.
I agree, keep Kraang somewhat of a teaser in TMNT. Just so his story will build of for a possible third film.
It would be cool to see him in a semi human format to start. Because he ultimately loses his body and reaches out to Shredder for a new one. Just saying.
I think if they use Kraag as the very end like a teaser for the third movie… That would cool.
It would be great if he has a small role or even a after credits scene so we are ready for him in the 3rd movie and they can go all out with the technodrome, maybe Tokka and Rahzar, Traag, Leatherhead, Armaggon, Scumbug, Metalhead, Slash. There are so many iconic characters, enough for a 4th or even a 5th movie. The most important thing is they don’t rush it and don’t put to many characters in one movie, give all characters the time to shine. A lot of people hate on the new movie, even so much that I was skeptical to go and see it, turns out I really loved the movie and I really can’t wait to finally see Bebop and Rocksteady in a TMNT movie! (By the way, did we see them eat pizza in the last movie? I forgot. If not it should be in the 2nd one)
They didn’t exactly show the turtles eating pizza, but Splinter provoked Mikey to tell the truth after they went above ground with the “99 cheeze pizza” from pizza hut.
I say bring him towards the end so it opens the door for a third one
It sounds right. I mean, Krang is Shredder’s boss, so it’s only fitting this megalomaniac appears as the ‘Darkseid’ of the Ninja Turtle franchise.
Now here’s a random question…should Tokka & Rahzar appear in the 3rd movie?
With the additions of Baxter Stockman, Rockstead and Bebop, this TMNT Film Franchise could already leapfrog the 90’s franchise. If Michael Bay can continue to introduce all of the characters (both heroes and villains alike) that we all know and love, this TMNT franchise could turn into a 5 or 6 movie franchise…..essentially putting us in TMNT Heaven!
i have been laying ninja turtles for a wihile now and i think server should be in ninja turtles part 2
on ninja turtles part 1 i wonder what shredder is going to do whit the mutegen
i think they should keep going out with ninja turtles like part 1 2 and 3
