Turtle Bits: New TMNT 3D Glasses and Toys On The Way!

Amidst all the clamor surrounding the new trailer released for Michael Bay’s Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, there have been a few photos leaked on the web that will be of interest to the fans. One of these images depicts the 3D Glasses which will be paired with the new movie from Jonathan Liebesman, while the others reveal a set of high quality toys that are going to be released soon. Let’s take a look at the glasses first, shall we?
Revealed alongside special 3D RealD Glasses planned for Transformers: Age of Extinction, Spongebob Squarepants 2 and Despicable Me, the TMNT 3D Glasses definitely stand out. What better way to watch the Ninja Turtles on the big screen than wearing one of their unforgettable eye masks? Featuring the colors of Leonardo, Raphael, Donatello and Michelangelo, certain audiences will be able to experience the new Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movie in style with one of these cool themed pairs of 3D Glasses. Sadly, these themed glasses are rarely ever available for very long and usually only in particular markets. If you’re looking to get your hands on these, you might want to call ahead to your preferred theater and ask them if they will be handing these out. One thing is for sure – I don’t think anyone is going to be recycling these bad boys!

With the eye wear out of the way, let’s look at some of the coolest TMNT toys the world has ever seen. Oh, you think I’m lying? Check out the model work on these Revoltech Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles action figures! Based (obviously) on the new Nickelodeon series, these Ninja Turtles toys look almost exactly the same as the turtles do in the cartoon! Featuring special interchangeable heads for each character, it’s clear that these are some of the coolest TMNT action figures you’re ever going to see.
Sharp eyed fans will note that Mikey’s extra head features a smile, Leo’s head is shocked (and staring longingly at some pizza), Raph’s head is of course angry, and Donny seems to be in love with something. Stop looking at April like that, Donny! Good grief.
Needless to say, these are some pretty awesome and super detailed Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles toys. That shouldn’t be a surprise, considering that they are coming from Revoltech, a company known for producing highly detailed collector’s items. These aren’t the kind of TMNT toys you play with – you want to display these proudly and lovingly on a shelf for all the world to see. Well, maybe not all of the world – perhaps just a few people…if they promise not to breathe on them.

My name is Justin Wren and I love to write about the TMNT! I've been a big Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles fan since the late 80's. Back then, I would watch the original animated series and play with the Playmates toys all the time. I have been following the boys ever since I was a kid, and I'm very happy to see them back in the limelight after all these years. Needless to say, I'm proud to be a member of the team on this awesome TMNT Fan Site!
