Today the Licensing Expo in Las Vegas released a few promos and they revealed the new official Ninja Turtles 2014 movie poster. Paramount decided not to include the “Teenage Mutant” in the title, this may come as a shock to many but originally the film was intended to be titled “Ninja Turtles”
Lots of controversy has revolved around this movie title as many fans disagree with changing an original title created in 1984. This news is quite surprising as crew members were seen sitting in chairs with a logo worded with the original name (Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles). Previously Paramount pictures has gone through some extents to purchase the URL Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles the movie.com. For some it doesnt matter, for some it does, does it matter to you? Tell us what you think.

If this is all about URL ownership then I’m very disappointed. I was so happy when all the Alien stuff was layed to rest. But now this?
Who cares what its called or whats in the film as long as we have a new Ninja Turtles film coming out, hopefully in my local cinema, that’s all I care about!
If the full title didn’t mean enough to Bay or the execs (or some “fans”), then who knows what else wasn’t important enough… TMNT has an amazing legacy under its belt, and deserves more respect than this. We shouldn’t be happy and spend our money and be excited JUST because a new movie is coming out. Doesn’t it have to be *perfect*? Not just good, not just existent, but *perfect*. Or at least *great*. TMNT in general – especially the first film – set a high bar. What happened to it??
Eric your words are inspirational dude! The first film had extremely high standards as it contained the largest movie budget in its time. We can only hope that removing the “Teenage” and “Mutant” out of the title doesn’t mean we lose the origins in this 2014 film. Showing the Turtles mutate and grow up as teenagers can set up an astonishing trilogy. The turtles franchise is nearing 30 years and the time to capitalize is now.
