I just want to say thank you so much for creating the TMNT gang. I always turned to fictional characters, comics, and stories as an escape from reality. To me, characters like the ninja turtles, were always my best friends and I saw them everywhere. I don’t mean literally(a fan can wish though), but I’d see them in people everywhere in my life. The turtles are a large part of my life and I can’t stress enough how important TMNT is to me. Quick question, are there any characters you regret creating or regret a certain aspect for a character?

My brother’s condition was pretty severe as a kid and he was given a Make a Wish. His wish was to go into the sewers and meet the Ninja Turtles! Obviously, that wasn’t possible, (lol) but he instead got to go to Universal Studios Florida and meet lots of other characters at the same time. Your series has been a favorite for my whole life. My whole family. Thankyou for such an awesome creation!

The Turtles inspired me to take up on martial arts training just like them. Specifically, Japanese Shotokan karate and kobudo since my fave is Donatello and his weapon, the bo staff!

I think if the Ninja Turtles were live action in the future reboots, I don’t think CG is Live. I would like to see the Turtles come back in full costume with lighter materials. CG should be used to cover up puppet handlers and wires etc.

I stand corrected. The first crossover of the TMNT & Miyamoto Usagi is in the Turtle Soup story “Turtle Soup and Rabbit Stew,” which was first published in September 1987. Usagi Yojimbo’s first appearance in the 80s TMNT cartoon was in the episode “Usagi Yojimbo” which aired just over 2 years later in November 1989.
Also, while probably not the answer you were seeking, Oroku Yoshi was technically a version of the Shredder who appeared in the TMNT Vol 4. He was the Shredder from an alternate dimension. Karai was “the Shredder” in our beloved Turtles’ dimension.

Obviously being co-creator of the Turtles is a HUGE part of who you are and is what you are recognized for. I just want to say thank you so much for creating the TMNT gang. I always turned to fictional characters, comics, and stories as an escape from reality. To me, characters like the ninja turtles, were always my best friends and I saw them everywhere. I don’t mean literally(a fan can wish though), but I’d see them in people everywhere in my life. The turtles are a large part of my life and I can’t stress enough how important TMNT is to me. Quick question, are there any characters you regret creating or regret a certain aspect for a character?

The Turtles inspired me to take up on martial arts training just like them. Specifically, Japanese Shotokan karate and kobudo since my fave is Donatello and his weapon, the bo staff!

I think if the Ninja Turtles were live action in the future reboots, I don’t think CG is Live. I would like to see the Turtles come back in full costume with lighter materials. CG should be used to cover up puppet handlers and wires etc.

I stand corrected. The first crossover of the TMNT & Miyamoto Usagi is in the Turtle Soup story “Turtle Soup and Rabbit Stew,” which was first published in September 1987. Usagi Yojimbo’s first appearance in the 80s TMNT cartoon was in the episode “Usagi Yojimbo” which aired just over 2 years later in November 1989.
Also, while probably not the answer you were seeking, Oroku Yoshi was technically a version of the Shredder who appeared in the TMNT Vol 4. He was the Shredder from an alternate dimension. Karai was “the Shredder” in our beloved Turtles’ dimension.
