Turtle Bits: Ghostbusters Crossover Released, New Game Coming Soon

by Justin W

A few months ago, it was announced that IDW was producing a Ghostbusters/TMNT crossover comic series. Today, you can finally pick up the first comic for yourself at comic book stores everywhere. Of course, if you don’t have a store that sells comics near you, they are also offering a digital download of the comic for $3.99. It’s always nice to have the actual comic in your hands, but it should also be noted that the artists and writers who created the final product actually make more money from digital sales than they do from the physical copies.

Regardless of how you choose to pick up your copy of this series, this is shaping up to be an excellent crossover. The first issue is getting rave reviews from websites like ComicVine, and fans all over are singing its praises. If you haven’t picked it up yet, do yourself a favor and find a way to get this awesome Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles crossover!

While you can expect more issues of this series to come out in the following weeks, it should also be noted that we are only a few weeks away from a new Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles game as well. That’s right, Activision has produced yet another TMNT title, but this time it might be the game that fans have been asking for. I’ve been reading the comments and the forums, and the most common question I see is about platform availability; Shellheads want to be able to experience new TMNT games without having to buy a new video game console.

Thankfully, it would appear that their prayers have been answered with this latest release, as this newest Ninja Turtles game will be available for Xbox 360, PS3 and 3DS. Whether you own a Nintendo console, a Sony console or a Microsoft console, chances are that you will be able to play this game.

More importantly, this game actually looks pretty cool. Early screenshots and details of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Danger of the Ooze reveals a 2D Brawler set in the universe of the Nickelodeon Ninja Turtles. Some of the best TMNT games ever made were 2D Fighting games, and this looks like it could be a title that follows in the footsteps of the classics that long time fans will remember from their childhood.

It remains to be seen whether or not Danger of the Ooze will hold up to the quality of past Ninja Turtles games, but at least the initial screenshots look pretty good. Unfortunately, with all of the other forgettable titles that Activision has released, I’m sure that most fans won’t be holding their breath for this game. This latest TMNT video game has a tentative release date of November 11th, 2014.
