That’s right, pictures of the costumes that preceded a wave of rumors and leaked photos around the web earlier this year are finally up for grabs. We had no way of knowing how the fans would react or whether there would even be any reaction at all, but clearly these images got a lot of people talking. Today, we can show you pictures of the costumes for all four turtles and the Shredder. They are all modeled after the characters in Michael Bay and Jonathan Liebesman’s new Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movie, due for release on August 8th.
While we originally only had one or two pictures, now we can see what each individual suit looks like. Obviously, these are intended for young children, and it would appear that they do the job well. After all, I’m sure older fans can remember wearing much less impressive Halloween costumes in the past, and we were happy just to have those! You know we’ve come a long way when they’re producing full body suits that look like the Ninja Turtles, complete with toy weapons!
As you can see, each turtle looks pretty close to their actual design in the movie. When the first images of these costumes came out a few months ago, we didn’t know whether or not they would be an accurate representation of what to expect from the character designs in the movie. I think that it is now safe to say that they were fairly accurate, although not exactly perfect. After all, these are Halloween costumes, so it’s not like we can expect them to be perfect recreations of CGI animated turtles!
The masks themselves appear to be fairly high quality, although they do reveal one of the main problems that a lot of fans have with the new Ninja Turtles designs — the nostrils. A lot of fans seem to be turned off by the fact that the new Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles have nostrils, and it’s understandable when you consider that this is the first time they’ve ever displayed that character trait on screen. In pretty much every other iteration of the TMNT on television or in movies, they had beaks and there were no visible nostrils.
Although some fans are turned off by this, others are getting totally hyped for the new movie. Regardless, these are some pretty cool TMNT Halloween costumes and they would be perfect for any young fan of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. What do you think? Will you be picking one of these suits for your shellhead in the making? Let us know in the comments below or sound off in our forums!

these are the masks crazed fans will wear when they to break into Michael Bay’s home and anal rape him for making such a bad turtle movie
I prefer transformer shredder then costume shredder
stop changing their look cause you will be surprise to know i have a son that is 5 years old and i showed
him a few of the tmnt cartoon shows from back when i was a kid and he loved the way they looked back than and he likes their new look for their cartoon shows. but yall giving them nostrils is like the stupidest thing yall can do yall better keep the original halloween costumes out cause the new ones yall just showed on this page are extremely ugly not trying to be rude but they are ugly. hope tmnt movie is good when it comes out but i’d rather have my son wear the ones that been out alot longer than these cause the personality of those new costumes don’t show at yall
This is all I can think of
