We’ve spent the last few months talking about casting choices, motion capture CGI animation and various pictures from the set of the new Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movie, but the film still hasn’t taken shape for many fans. After all, it’s understandable that seeing some weird guys running around in gray turtle suits doesn’t exactly evoke feelings of nostalgia or excitement for a lot of you. Perhaps that’s what makes these latest pictures so interesting, as they really pull together that TMNT look and feel that we all know and love. Finally, we get to see a glimpse of the new home for the Ninja Turtles and pull together an idea or two about what this movie will really be like. If you couldn’t get your head around it before, perhaps a look at the Sewer Lair will do the trick for you!
As you can see, the Turtle’s new Lair looks pretty interesting. With plenty of dust and dirt lying around, this really does look like an old abandoned sewer. Close up shots of some interesting set pieces reveal furniture made entirely out of pizza boxes, which is fits in perfectly with the lore of the Ninja Turtles. However, some sharp eyed fans will notice that these pizza boxes are all from Pizza Hut, which was not depicted in the 90’s TMNT movies. It would appear that this time around, Pizza Hut has been chosen for licensing rights within the movie, which will no doubt prove to be a great choice on their part. With random pillows and blankets strewn about everywhere, this definitely looks like a dumpster diver’s dream come true.
Perhaps more importantly than the pizza box furniture, the background reveals posters of skateboarders and an actual skateboard as well. Does this mean we will see Michelangelo pulling off some sick maneuvers in the sewers of New York once more? Obviously, that remains to be seen, but there is one thing that is definitely clear from looking at these pictures: This is definitely what one would think of when asked to envision a modern and faithful version of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Sewer Lair. What do you guys think? Let us know in the comments below.

how much do you think pizza hut paid them for that?
Pizza Hut set up a 20 Million dollar campaign in 1990 so we would guess this campaign would be more.
