Over the past few years, Mondo has created quite a few awesome Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles collectibles. In addition to a plethora of action figures and toys, they’ve also created several posters and commissioned artwork from a variety of creative artists. We’ve featured some of this amazing work in the past, but it’s often almost impossible for most fans to actually obtain their merchandise. With that in mind, it’s nice to see them branching out with a new art show at their gallery entitled the “Nick Nick Nick Nick N-Nick Nick Nick… Nickelodeon Show.”
The title is obviously a reference to the cable network’s popular jingle from the 90’s, and much of the artwork they have planned for the art show is appropriately based upon a lot of the animated series that were released during that era. However, it may surprise some readers to discover that Mondo will also be presenting artwork based on the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. It would appear that almost anything related to Nickelodeon will be welcome at this art show, and the Ninja Turtles will definitely have a presence at the event. The piece we’ve shared here is only one of the paintings you will find on display at the Mondo Gallery. Although we don’t have any confirmation that you’ll find additional artwork based on TMNT, something tells me that fellow shellheads probably wouldn’t mind checking out all of the other wonderful pieces on display at this Nickelodeon show. This amazing art show will open on Friday, December 9th at the Mondo Gallery in Austin, Texas. If you live nearby, we highly recommend stopping by to discover all of the amazing pieces based on your favorite cartoons of yesteryear.
The Nickelodeon Show will run until December 17th, but they will also be holding a special Family Day event on Saturday, December 10th. From 10 AM-12 PM, they will be providing a bunch of extra activities for families such as a slime building workshop and face painting. This could be a great opportunity to take your children to a really cool art show and introduce them to some of the animation that you grew up with while sharing your love for the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. Here’s hoping Mondo’s latest production manages to impress in some turtley awesome ways!
