S.H. Figuarts Reveals Shredder Figure at SDCC 2016

I always get excited whenever San Diego Comic-con rolls around, because I know that we’re going to see some turtley awesome new merchandise on display. Of course, there was no way I could have expected what S.H. Figuarts would reveal during the convention, and I was absolutely floored to see this bad boy on display. As you can see from the image above, in addition to their line of classic Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles figures, they have also decided to create a Shredder figure as well. Fans of the original animated series will definitely want to pick this set up!

Before you start worrying about the price, it’s worth noting that all four of the TMNT figures are currently available for pre-order at a price of between $63 and $66 each. If this new S.H. Figuarts Shredder figure follows suit, we can expect a similar price structure when it is released sometime next year. Unfortunately, we don’t have any official information about its release date, but it’s a safe bet that we will see this on the market before too long. That being said, it is interesting to note that this is the third Shredder figure that has been announced in the last few weeks.

First Gokin announced their Oraku Saki figure at the end of June, while DreamEX followed shortly after in the first week of July. It is now the last week of July and we are seeing yet another Shredder figure being prepared for the market. If you’re a fan of the leader of the foot clan, this has got to be some pretty awesome news! The S.H. Figuarts line is likely to be the least expensive, with DreamEX and First Gokin models both expected to fetch prices of over $100 each. In comparison, it is likely that this latest Shredder figure will be sold at a price of well under $100, making it a much better deal for collectors and fans alike.

If you’re a fan of the original animated series and you want to show it off in style, this line of highly posable S.H. Figuarts TMNT figures is likely to be an excellent deal. If Shredder ends up selling for $66, you’ll only be paying $450 for all five figures, and that’s a pretty good price for collectible Ninja Turtles merchandise!

90’s TMNT Figures Get Release Dates and Pricing Info

If you’ve been getting excited about the awesome 90’s TMNT figures that were on display at this year’s Toy Fair, we’ve got some great news for you. That’s right, we’re already starting to get a sense for how much these Ninja Turtles figures will cost and when these items will hit the market. In particular, the NECA and S.H. Figuarts TMNT figures are already being listed by websites such as Entertainment Earth and Amazon. Although the information provided by both websites is somewhat different, it is suggestive of what we can come to expect from each product line.

NECA TMNT 1990 Donatello figureNECA’s recreation of Donatello from the original Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movie will be a bit pricier than we were originally expecting, coming in at a price of $96.99 on Entertainment Earth and $129.99 on Amazon.

Additionally, the release date is listed as July 2016 on EE while Amazon says the TMNT figure will be released in September. It’s difficult to know which of these numbers or release dates is more accurate, but at least we can get a general sense of what to expect.

The figure is probably going to cost between $100-$150 depending on where you find it, and it will probably be released this summer.

 

 

S.H. Figuarts Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Figures

Sadly, there doesn’t appear to be any information about these TMNT figures on Amazon, so we’ll have to work with what we’re seeing on Entertainment Earth.

At a price tag of $62.99 each, these Ninja Turtles action figures are definitely falling in line with pricing expectations. The release date currently listed is August 2016, so chances are that we’ll start seeing these highly detailed toys on store shelves sometime later this summer.

 

Ultimately, this information is not a guarantee of what we will see in reality, but it can at least give us some idea of what to expect and when to expect it. Compared to the price tag and release date we are likely to see from the incredible TMNT statues being produced by Prime 1 Studios, this information is sure to be a welcome surprise for many fans. Chances are that these will be the TMNT figures that most of us intend to pick up later this year. Thankfully, they’re all very affordable and they all look fantastic! What do you think? Classic TMNT Figures From S.H. Figuarts On The Way

We’ve been seeing a lot of interesting and unique Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles figures and statues being developed over the past few years, but few have looked quite like this. I mean these are Classic TMNT Figures. Given the level of nostalgia for the original animated series, it’s almost surprising that it has taken this long for a company to give us a proper representation of our favorite heroes in a half shell.

Figuarts Classic TMNT FigureThere’s nothing wrong with the amazing work from Mondo or any other company, but if you’re a fan of the 1987 animated series, there have been few truly excellent examples of Ninja Turtles figures developed for you. Thanks to the efforts of S.H. Figuarts, that’s all about to change.

As you can see from these images, S.H. Figuarts are currently in the process of developing a series of TMNT figures based on the designs of the original animated series. Unlike previous attempts to cash in on the classic turtles design, you’ll note that they’ve put a lot more effort into the process this time around. Gone are the oddly cross-eyed turtles that adorned store shelves for several years, now to be replaced by a much higher quality classic Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles figure.

Each figure is fully posable and comes with a variety of accessories, including alternate faces, wrists and belts. You won’t find as many accessories here as you get from other companies, but you’ll definitely find more here than you would from a standard TMNT toy. Oh, and did I mention that these figures are actually cheaper than a lot of similar examples?

Donatello S.H. Figuarts Classic TMNT FigureAt a price of 7,020 Yen each, one S.H. Figuarts TMNT figure will cost just over $60 USD. Of course, when you factor in the international shipping (unless you live in Japan), chances are that the price will rise quite a bit. However, even with shipping figured into the price, chances are that you won’t be paying as much for one of these Ninja Turtles action figures as you would pay for one of the more stylish TMNT statues we’ve seen hitting the market as of late.

S.H. Figuarts is well known for creating some of the most beautiful figurines based on classic cartoons and animated series from around the world, so it’s probably a good bet that these are going to be pretty high quality TMNT figures. With a release date of August 2016, it’ll be a few more months before you can get your hands on these awesome classic TMNT figurines, but until then you can always just enjoy these radical images.
