I know what you’re saying: How many Ninja Turtles statues and figures are going to be developed? The last few weeks have been filled to the brim with announcements about various TMNT collectibles.
Perhaps I got a bit ahead of myself when I questioned whether or not Turtle Mania is nearing another crash, because there are quite a few companies investing in all things Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles right now. This time around, Sideshow has announced plans for a new set of awesome statues based on a limited edition print crafted by Paolo Rivera.Although they announced their plans for these Ninja Turtles statues a few months ago, it wasn’t until now that we actually got to see what they would look like. I don’t know about you, but I think these might actually be some of the most unique TMNT statues I have ever seen.
It’s clear that they’ve gone for a more realistic look, with Leonardo looking more like a snapping turtle than he ever has before. The amount of detail on display here is even more striking than the artwork from Paolo Rivera. We’ve seen similarly detailed figures sell for hundreds of dollars, so chances are that you can expect to pay a similar price for these collectibles as well.
Sadly, Sideshow has not yet provided a release date or pricing information about these collectibles. So far, we’ve only seen the initial teaser image from a few months ago and this latest group of images revealing the final design for Leonardo.
As with other Ninja Turtles statues and figures coming to market very soon, we’ll do our best to keep you informed about their release when that information becomes available.
