Today, Mondo has released two new limited edition collectible posters, TMNT: Rise of the Turtles.
Mondo
A few months ago, we announced that Mondo had unveiled their Michelangelo figure to go along with the previous Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles figures they had released. So far, they have unveiled Leonardo, Donatello and Michelangelo, so Raphael will complete the set. Thankfully, they’ve finally made the Mondo Raphael figure available for preorder on their website.
At a price of $149.99, these collectible figures are definitely more costly than other TMNT collectibles, but they’re also some of the most detailed Ninja Turtles figures you will ever see. Designed to look just like the original design of the turtles from their first appearance in the graphic novels created by Kevin Eastman and Peter Laird, it’s hard to go wrong with one of these awesome Mondo TMNT figures.

Sadly, the special alternate variant of this Raphael figure has already sold out. Within mere hours of being posted on the site, the variant became unavailable due to high demand. The Mondo Exclusive version of the Raphael figure was limited to 500 copies and featured an additional accessory for Raph to wear – the hockey mask of Casey Jones.
If you weren’t lucky enough to get your hands on this exclusive edition of the figure, just remember that the basic version still includes a wide variety of accessories including Raphael’s characteristic set of Sai, Shuriken, Grappling Hook and even a Triceraton Blaster. Needless to say, there are plenty of reasons to place a preorder on this awesome Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles collectible!

That being said, it’s worth noting that if you do place a preorder now, you probably aren’t going to see your figure for another 6-9 months. This may seem like a long wait time, but remember that these are only preorders and that the actual figures haven’t all been developed yet. This TMNT figure has a tentative release date of Q3 2016, meaning that you can expect it to arrive some time in the fall of 2016.
Keep that in mind when deciding whether or not to place your order immediately or wait a bit and make your decision later. Whatever decision you do ultimately make about this Raphael figure, one thing is for sure: Mondo has definitely gone all out to craft some of the most awesome Ninja Turtles figures ever made with their series of retro TMNT collectibles.
If you haven’t been paying attention, Mondo has been creating some pretty awesome Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles collectibles as of late. Their first TMNT toy, announced at SDCC 2014, was an adorable interpretation of Michelangelo holding one of his signature Ninja Turtles ice cream bars.
Since then, they have begun work on a set of collectible figures designed to look like the turtles from the original IDW comics. Of course, they’re also aware that quite a few fans prefer the original animated series over the comics, so each figure includes a head with a colored mask to go with the traditional red mask.
So far, Mondo has released a Leonardo and Donatello figure, with Mikey being their latest addition to the series. Each figure is priced at $149.99, which is actually a decent price when you consider everything that is included. Not only does each figure come with two separate heads, but they each come with their own special accessories as well.
Michelangelo’s figure comes with a variety of cool extras including a grappling hook, Triceraton blaster, and a pre-mutation baby Mikey figure. As if all these accessories weren’t enough, he also has interchangeable hands to support a variety of poses.
Of course, if you get your hands on one of the limited edition versions of Mikey, you’ll also get some pizza slice accessories for him to hold – perhaps the greatest accessory of all time. The Michelangelo figure will soon be available for pre-order on the Mondo store. You can also order the Leonardo and Donatello figures if you want to collect all four. Unfortunately, they haven’t released Raphael just yet, but you know that they’ll be releasing him soon!
