We still wanted a few questions answered at San Diego Comic Con.

Our friend Machelle at GeekRockTV got to talk with some of the cast of Nickelodeon’s “Rise of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.”

She got to talk with the cast and producers about the new Villains, Possibilities for Dimension X, and how the personalities of the turtles themselves came through. Rob Paulsen brings out a very special treat when talking about Maurice Lamarche, so keep an eye out!

SDCC 2018 Recap – IDW / Kevin Eastman “TMNT For All” Full Panel

Here is the full Kevin Eastman / IDW panel titled “TMNT For All” that took place at this years’ San Diego Comic Con.

Our friends at GeekRockTV were there to catch all the news and anouncements. There’s tons of great info here with writers and artists from different TMNT series and, of course, the man himself, Kevin Eastman.

They cover everything coming up for the Ninja Turtles series. From the Rise of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and their own ongoing series, to more adult titles like Bodycount, the Macro-Series, and the newly announced Shredder in Hell, they cover everything IDW has announced for the franchise. They even briefly get in to their dream collaboration for the turtles, so be sure to check that out!

SDCC 2018 Recap – “Rise of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles” Full Panel

Not everyone can go to San Diego Comic Con.

Even if everyone could, it’s still impossible to see everything. Well, for anyone who missed out on the Rise of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles panel this year, our friends over at GeekRockTV have you covered!

Check out the full panel! Highlights include the cast and their history with the turtles, Kat Graham cosplaying as her character April, and a very special cameo around the 39 minute mark.

The producers and cast look like they had a great time. It seems like they know the weight of the show they work on.

NECA Toys show off upcoming releases at SDCC 2018

San Diego Comic-Con is over.

It’s sad, but there’s a lot news to tie us over! Anyone in attendance this year who passed the NECA Toys booth got a glimpse at their upcoming Teenage Mutant Nina Turtle figures.

First up, this awesome 1/4 Scale Foot Clan Soldier based on the 1990 movie.

This is a must have for anyone who’s collected the previous figures in their line based on the 1990 film.

Next, they also displayed 4 figures based on their line based on the “Turtles in Time” game!

I absolutely love these figures. I haven’t seen any release date posted, but I’m hoping for an NYCC 2018 exclusive!

NECA Toys put out, arguably, the single most sought after exclusive collectible at San Diego Comic-Con this year. When they show off something, it’s time to pay attention. Hopefully, we’ll get a glimpse at the upcoming Shredder based on the 1990 movie soon!

Netflix announces “The Toys That Made Us” Season 3

Netflix announced the topics for Season 3 docu-series “The Toys That Made Us” at SDCC.

The panel revealed the subjects will include My Little Pony, Power Rangers, Wrestling, and (finally) Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.

These are some heavy hitters, and all still very relevant today. My Little Pony was a hit in the 80’s and came back even stronger with a new cartoon in 2010. The hit show grossed over a billion dollars in 2014 in retail alone.

Power Rangers has grown and evolved with the times since it’s release in 1993. The toys hit over $6 billion worldwide and released over 20 films. It got a major Hollywood reboot in 2017.

Wrestling has always been a major seller. From the Bash-Em buddies in the 80’s to today’s video games. WWE recently struck a TV deal valued at over  $4 billion.

And of course (why we’re all here) the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. From the original comic to the explosion of Turtle Mania in the 80’s and 90’s, the TMNT franchise is celebrating almost 35 years. With a new cartoon from Nickelodeon coming in September, the Turtles show no sign of slowing down.

No details on when the show will air, but seasons 1 and 2 are available to watch on Netflix. They’ve covered Star Wars, GI Joe, Hello Kitty and more in their 2 seasons. It’s a wonderful series for anyone interested in pop culture. We’ll keep you posted when it airs!
