Although we’ve already seen the models for their line of figures based on the original Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (1990), NECA has slowly been revealing more details about each figure as their release date grows near. Just a few weeks ago, they gave us our first look at the packaging for their Donatello figure, and now we’re getting a closer look at the next toy in this line: Raphael.
The results are pretty darn stunning. Raph looks almost exactly the same as he did in the first movie. NECA has earned a reputation for doing fantastic work with their Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles toys, but I think this might be some of their finest work yet. As great as Donny looked, Raphael might have turned out even better. One thing is for sure – this line of TMNT figures is shaping up quite nicely.
With a tentative release date of February 2017, fans can expect this Raphael figure to hit the market within the next 4-5 months. The price tag will once again be $99, which is on par with the pricing for their Donatello figure. In total, all four turtles will cost about $400, which is actually a lot more affordable than some of the other collectible TMNT figures currently available from competitors. NECA’s latest line of Ninja Turtles toys may not be affordable for all fans, but it’s far less expensive than most of the alternatives.
This Raphael figure is currently available for pre-order, but it won’t ship for several months. In other words, this wouldn’t make a good Christmas present, but it would definitely be a nice surprise for any fan coming out of their shells in spring!
