There have been a lot of previews for season four hitting the web during this past week, and they’ve all been quite revealing. In the preview we recently featured, Nickelodeon revealed our first look at the turtles in space suits. The general consensus seems to be that they look pretty good in space, and fans can’t wait to see what types of hijinks they find themselves in during the next season.
With that being said, there was one piece of news which came out of NYCC 2015 that got everyone talking about the possibilities: The classic TMNT crossover episode which will feature both Nickelodeon’s Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and the 80’s Ninja Turtles fighting side by side. Unfortunately, aside from a promotional image of the Mandroid, we didn’t really get a sense for how the episode would look. That all changed earlier this week when we got a full preview of the TMNT crossover event.
Although the video only features an animated storyboard, we do get to hear some pretty familiar voices. If you pay close attention, you may notice that they actually brought the original voice actors on to reprise their role for this special episode. In addition to this awesome fan service, we also get to hear some of the plot developing for the crossover, giving us an idea of what we can come to expect. It sounds like the Ninja Turtles from the 80’s universe actually brought the TMNT from Nickelodeon’s universe to their world in order to ask for help defeating the Krang.
As if this promo weren’t enough, we got yet another taste of season four just the other day with a quick look at Wyrm, one of the newest baddies in Nick’s series. Once again, some rather important plot details were leaked in this case as well, and we’re definitely psyched to see what comes of these new developments. Fugitoid makes an appearance yet again in this preview, and that shouldn’t be too surprising given that he will be appearing in at least 13 episodes throughout the next season. With so many new characters and the promise of some classic TMNT action, season four of Nickelodeon’s Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles is shaping up to be one of the best so far!
