Well, we certainly weren’t expecting this. Although we noted last week that the first picture of these toys revealed some slightly different character models for each turtle, there was no way of knowing what that meant. Thanks to Toyark, now we know for sure that there will be three separate lines of TMNT Mega Bloks for fans of all ages. The three lines will feature designs based on three different TMNT shows: Nickelodeon’s Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, their newest series entitled Half-Shell Heroes, and the classic animated series from 1987.
To put this into perspective, it looks like Mega Bloks has finally created a line of toys for every TMNT cartoon in existence. No matter which series you enjoy, there is now a TMNT Mega Bloks set to represent that version of the turtles. As if that weren’t awesome enough, the models they’ve made for their latest lines of Ninja Turtles toys appear to be quite impressive. Just one look at the classic Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles line is sure to make fans of the original series smile from ear to ear. Yes, those are classic foot soldiers. Yes, that is the original Rocksteady. Yes, the turtles look exactly like they did in the original animated series.
Nickelodeon’s TMNT don’t look bad, either. Baxter Stockman appears to be pretty spot on, and the turtles themselves look fairly similar to their animated counterparts. With a new crossover episode planned for season four, it looks like Mega Bloks has planned a line that will allow fans to recreate their favorite moments from the show. Even if you’re more into LEGOS than you are into Mega Bloks, this selection of TMNT toys has got to look pretty promising.
Whether your kids are looking for more awesome Ninja Turtles toys or you just want to get your hands on some awesome TMNT minifigures, these three lines will probably do the trick. If you want to get an even closer look, head on over to Toyark and check out their gallery of images from NYCC. I don’t know about you, but I think Mega Bloks knocked this one out of the park! Let us know your thoughts in the comments and tell us which line looks the most appealing to you. Expect these TMNT Mega Bloks to hit store shelves sometime in January of 2016!
