It’s that time of the month again! The past few weeks have seen some rather interesting Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles videos hit the web, and we wanted to make sure that everyone had the opportunity to check them out. With that in mind, it’s time for another collection of turtley awesome videos! This time around, the theme is innovative creations; whether it be an amazing animatic or a Mario Paint project that took several months to complete, there’s plenty of creativity on display in these TMNT videos.
Talk To Me Mikey Review
This is a toy that has kinda flown under the radar, but something tells me that a lot of fans are going to dig it. The last I saw of Talk To Me Mikey, none other than Greg Cipes was playing with the TMNT toy during a comic-con panel. Speaking of Cipes, he actually provided the voice work for every single response that this toy is capable of saying! Sadly, as Pixel Dan points out, this definitely isn’t intended for adults. Talk To Me Mikey is designed to hear and respond to the voices of children, so older fans might have a more difficult time talking to him. That being said, if you’ve got any young shellheads in the family, this could be a pretty cool gift for the holidays!
TMNT ’87 Intro Animated With Mario Paint
If you’re familiar with Cinemassacre, chances are that you know all about Mike Matei. He’s one of the head honchos behind the company, and he’s a huge TMNT fan. Don’t believe me? Well, he just spent several months recreating the intro from the original animated series using nothing but Mario Paint! This was no easy task, as the animation process on this video game is fairly rudimentary and does not allow for the level of detail that was necessary to complete the project. That being said, Matei still managed to get the job done in style, and he even finished the video off by explaining his methods.
Splinter Training Session Animatic
Nickelodeon’s Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles has proven to be one of the most faithful adaptations of the franchise that we have ever seen. Every now and then, Nick even goes to the trouble of sharing some of the artwork that went into creating the popular cartoon. This time around, they’ve chosen to share an animatic/storyboard from the show that features Master Splinter training his turtley awesome students. If you’ve ever wanted to see what goes into the creation of just one scene from an episode, this is an excellent opportunity to enjoy the incredibly creative work from the minds of Ciro Nieli and Brandon Auman.
