Privacy Policy (also referred to as “we,” “our,” “us”) are huge fans of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.  We’ve started a third party fan site about The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.  Please understand that we  are not an official site of Viacom, Nickelodeon, or the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle enterprises.

1. What Information Do We Collect?

When Shellheads or visitors visit our Ninja Turtles website (“Site”), we collect information with the goal in mind that we are providing you with a better internet experience.   At times, that may or may not include personal information such as, but not limited to:

  • Name
  • Contact information including email address
  • Internet Protocol or “IP” addresses and other persistent identifies
  • Mobile device identifiers
  • Demographic information which shows us where you may live.  This includes your postal code, preferences and interests
  • Other information relevant to customer surveys and offers

If you make a transaction on, that means that you buy something on our website,  we will collect information about those transactions you engage in while on our website and your other activity on our site.  This informaton may include, without limitation, the transaction type, and the content that you view, download, submit, your transaction amount, payment method, and the billing information as well as the nature, quantity and price of the goods or services you purchase and the individuals or entities with whom you may communiciate or transact business with on our Turtles website.

We may also collect data to determine the domain name and the name of the web page you used to enter our Turtles site.  We may examine the duration you spend on each of our pages.  We will also collect information that is combined with other user’s information including how many times a Shellhead user clicks on each web page and how that user or users arrive at our Turtles site.   We may collect IP addresses, mobile identifiers, and web usage information from you when you visit our Ninja Turtles website through the use of “cookies”.   In addition to cookies, we here at may use small bits of computer code called “one-pixel gifs,” “clear gifs,” or “web beacons” embedded in web pages to monitor our website’s activity.   We use this collected electronic data to better design our Ninja Turtles site.

We aren’t talking about Chocolate Chip cookies either….The cookies we’re talking about are small files stored on the hard drive of your computer ready for future access when you return to our Turtles website.   We use these cookies to deliver web content specific to you.  Cookies cannot pass viruses, harm your computer or pass on private information such as an email address without the user’s intervention. Cookies contain session identification numbers that allow our systems to recall previous site sessions for authentication efforts and assemble information from our gathered data.  Wheew…That was a mouthful, wasn’t it?

If you access our Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles website with a mobile phone other device, you will be asked for a sample of blood or urine depending on how we are feeling that day.  Kidding….You will only be asked whether you want the app to gather your location information (“geolocation”).   If you agree to allow the app to gather this information, we will retain it only as long as your session on our Turtles website is live.  When you close the app, the session information is deleted.  At some point in the future, we may retain only the latitude and longitude information in this geolocation (not your personal information) for site improvement purposes.

If you login to our Ninja Turtles website using your Facebook account or login credentials, our system is design to capture and retain the public information on your Facebook page.  For example, if you post your relationship status, or the fact that you’ve just gotten yourself a cup of coffee at your local hotspot, we will capture that information and your birth date as public information in your Facebook profile.

As long as you continue to login to our Ninja Turtles website using your Facebook profile the information we collect will be current as your most recently updated Facebook information.  If you “break” the login link and login to our Site directly (not using your Facebook credentials), then the public information we gather from you will not be as up to date as your Facebook page.

2.  How Do We Use the Information We Collect?

You may provide personal information in certain fields on this Turtles Site.  This personal information is used only for purposes noted at the time of collection or for purposes listed below:

  • We may use your email address to contact you about new features on the Site
  • We may use your information for internal record keeping purposes related to uploads, downloads, purchases and transactions.
  • We may use your information to customize the website according to your interests.

When you request a page from our Ninja Turtles website, our servers log the information provided in the HTTP thing-a-ma-jig.. Ok, it’s actually called the HTTP request header.   So When you request a page from our Ninja Turtles site, our servers log the information provided in the HTTP request header including your IP number, the time and date of your request, the URL of your request and other information that is provided in the HTTP header.  We collect the HTTP request header information to make our Site function correctly and provide you the functionality that you expect to see.

We want to use this information to personalize our Turtles site content toward you, to better understand how you use our Site and to figure out how e can best tune it to meet your needs. We only use your personally identifiable information for those activities listed at the time you submit your information to us.

We may or may not provide your information to Third Parties to provide some part of the information or service that you have requested.  Inforamtion you provide at the Ninja Turtles site will not be transferred to unrelated 3rd parties…

4. How Do We Protect the Personal Information We Collect?

We value your security and privacy.  And your personal information is important to us.  We maintain and protect the security of our servers and your personal information.   To secure the information we collect online, prevent unathorized access, maintain data accuracy and ensure only appropriate use of information, we have established appropriate physical, electronic and management safeguards.  We require user names and passwords to access sensitive data.  Unless you authorize unencrypted transmission, we will use industry standard encryption methods to protect your data.

5. How Do You Opt-Out of Personal Information Sharing with Our Partners?

We may or may not use 3rd party ad network providers, including Google and 3rd party analytic vendors to evaluate, examine and or provide us with information about the use of our Services and viewing of our Turtles site content.   Some of the information you see on our Site may be customized based on automated predictions about your interests, which predictions are generated from our visits over time and across different websites, using tools such as Google Analytics.  This information allows us to create Site content of greater interest to Shellheads also known as our visitors and can also be used to vendor’s use of cookies, including use by Google, by visiting the Network Advertising Initiative opt-out page (

6. What is Our Privacy Policy If You Are Under 13 Years of Age?

We here at Teenage Mutant Ninja know how it is important for children of young ages to benefit from a strong privacy policy and protection.   Our TMNT website or Site is intended for use in The United States by audiences over the age of 13, and in many cases, over the age of 18 years of age.   We neither target nor sell our services to children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal data information from them.

While persons of all ages may visit our TMNT Site and participate in the Site’s activities that do not require the collection of personal information, we do know knowingly or intentionally collect Personal Information from children under the age of 13 years old.  Except for the limited circumstances listed below, we will automatically reject and delete (to the extent technically feasible) the registration or entry of any person we believe in good faith to be underage unless such information meets an exception under the Childre’s Online Privacy Protection Act (“COPPA”).     Furthermore, we retain the right to block out or edit a child’s contact information.  With the exception of complying with laws and /or regulations, we will not knowingly use, distribute, or disclose any child (s) personal information to 3rd parties without prior parental consent.

Any false or fraudulent registration or entries completed by an individual under the age of 17 years old (a “Minor”) will be deemed to be ineligible and will disquality that minor from any benefit or ability to participate in the Turtles site.  Unless we are required to retain a minor’s Personal information for regulatory, tax, or other legal purposes, we will prompty remove such of information from our Site’s database to the extend technically feasible.  If the parent withdraws his or her consent to our use of the minor’s Personal Information.

7. What Happens When You Link to a Third-Party Web Site?

If you click on a link that takes you to another site (a “Third-Party website”), you will be subject to that website’s privacy policy.  If we need to exchange personally identifiable information with that Third-Party, we will make sure that it has a privacy policy just as protective as ours.  Please read all Third-Party posted privacy policy statements before submitting any personal information.

8. What Happens When We Update Our Privacy Policy?
