I’ll be the first to admit that I almost didn’t catch this one. After several successful months at the top of the sales charts, it would appear that IDW and DC want to squeeze every dime they can out of this collaboration. Recently, it was announced that all six issues of the Batman/TMNT crossover will be combined into one beautiful hardcover collection. It’s not every day that a collection of comics gets the hardcover treatment, so this is actually a pretty special item.

Whether you’ve been waiting to read these comics or you just want to get them all in one nice compilation, this is going to be an excellent alternative to the traditional trade paperback. As you can see, it appears that the Batman Logo may even be in foil, which would make this Batman/TMNT Hardcover collection even more special. I don’t know about you, but I’m starting to get very excited about this release. Thankfully, it would appear that this is going to be available very soon!

The publication date for the hardcover compilation of Batman/TMNT is apparently August 17th, but some retailers will not receive the item until August 23rd. In addition to the imminent release, this collection will also come with a pretty decent price tag. At an MSRP of about $24.99, some retailers are already offering pre-orders for less than $15. Considering that you’ll be getting six issues in a nice hardcover edition, that’s actually a really good deal. Even if you already own the individual comics, this might be worth the pickup.

If you prefer to support your local comic book shops, make sure to check with them in the next week or two to see if they’ve received this hardcover Batman/TMNT collection yet. Otherwise, you can secure your purchase right away by ordering through Amazon. This may only be offered in a limited print run, but something tells me that DC and IDW aren’t done milking this crossover for all it’s worth. Heck, they just announced an entirely new Batman/TMNT Adventures miniseries to be released in the near future!

Whatever the case may be, it’s nice to see them giving this profitable compilation the respect it deserves.
