‘TMNT: Bebop & Rocksteady Destroy Everything’ Announced

If there is any way to make a Monday more exciting, it’s by announcing a brand new Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles miniseries starring Bebop and Rocksteady. Fortunately, IDW Publishing has this one covered by bringing TMNT: Bebop & Rocksteady Destroy Everything.

The ongoing Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles comic series typically has a miniseries that runs parallel to it. Although the miniseries may not be completely necessary to read, it allows IDW to expand the universe and storyline by focusing on certain characters or plot elements. As reported today by the A.V. Club, fans are ecstatic to see long-time favorite villains, Bebop the warthog and Rocksteady the rhinoceros, star in their first-ever miniseries.

This series claims to be “the most ambitions event yet” according to the A.V. Club. The story will be filled with time travel, where the fate of the universe is put in the hands of none other than Bebop and Rocksteady.

The creative team behind TMNT: Bebop & Rocksteady Destroy Everything is nothing short of stellar. The series will consist of five issues, with one issue releasing each week in June 2016. Dustin Weaver and Ben Bates will write the issues, and will have an exciting team of rotating artists: Sophie Campbell, Giannis Milonogiannis, Nick Pitarra, and Ryan Browne! Sophie Campbell is no stranger to the TMNT universe, but this is the first time we will see some of these artists in the TMNT universe.

Issues will retail at $3.99 and will release weekly in June 2016.
