Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles – On-Set TMNT 2 Videos

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles fans are totally awesome. Granted, the studio may not be happy when these types of videos leak, but we sure are! It’s always nice to get a look behind the scenes and see what goes into the production of a movie like this. Of course, it’s also important to remember that you might not see this footage in the actual movie, because filmmakers typically shoot a scene several times before settling on one take – and even then, they sometimes elect not to keep the scene at all. With that in mind, let’s take a look at some interesting shots from the set of TMNT 2!

Last week we got our first look at Stephen Amell as Casey Jones, and this week we actually get to see him in action. As a matter of fact, it looks as if this scene might actually be the first time that April and the Turtles meet Casey Jones in the movie. Upon close inspection, you will notice that Jones comes in to save April from a foot clan member, but freaks out afterward when he notices the turtles behind her. This results in an altercation between the turtles and Jones, and if you listen closely, you can even hear Raph telling him to back off.

Although the turtles are still just four guys in mocap uniforms, the setting and the apparent camerawork indicate that this is a pretty well shot scene, and a more than serviceable introduction to Casey Jones. Again, this might not be the shot they choose to go with, but I wouldn’t fault the filmmakers if it were. To be honest, this is some of the coolest on-set action I’ve seen in years, and it is definitely getting me pumped for the movie!

The next video appears to be a clip taken in between shots, as the turtles are just goofing around and having fun while Amell takes his mask off and watches. I could be wrong about this, but it definitely doesn’t feel like a part of the movie. I suppose this could be a later shot in the film where Casey Jones has become friends with the turtles, but even then it would seem a little odd. Regardless, this is a fun little video featuring our heroes in a half shell just having a little fun.

What do you think of these videos? Have they made you more excited for the TMNT sequel? Let us know in the comments below, and we’ll let you know if we come across any other on-set revelations!

That second clip is SO NINJA TURTLES
The four turtles,April and Casey,chillin
Mikey hits Raph in the knee, they all laugh,April keels over laughing.
THEY ARE BECOMING THE NINJA TURTLES,that’s really good news
Animate that,Michael Bay! (i know you’re reading this)

On the other hand,if you jack up the volume,Amell isn’t doing a Casey accent at all,and has the terrible line,
“I’m a vigilante! I’m the shadow in the night!”
