Turtley Awesome Videos: TMNT Nostalgia

The past few weeks has offered a mixture of sadness and happiness for Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles fans. Today, we’ll be giving attention to some of the better TMNT videos from around the net and giving a little much needed fan service to all you Shellheads.

When we learned that James Avery (the man behind the iconic voice of the Shredder) had sadly passed away, it was almost as if we had lost a member of our extended family. After all, maybe The Shred head was a bad guy, but he was still an important part of the Ninja Turtles story. Perhaps that is why this particular video truly hits as hard as it does, featuring an interview with James Avery talking about immortality. Surely, his characterization of this infamous baddie is a good example of something that will live on forever. We miss you, James. Your contribution to the TMNT universe will not soon be forgotten. Rest in peace.

Okay, now that I’ve given you all a much needed tear jerker, allow me to lift your spirits once again. Imagine my surprise last week when I discovered this video. Not only did it feature one of my favorite Youtube personalities, but he was actually hanging out with Vanilla Ice at CES! As if that wasn’t awesome enough, what happened next was truly a sight to behold. That’s right – Andre, better known to many as Black Nerd, got up on stage at CES and performed the Ninja Rap for the man behind the song. Maybe you’ve seen a turtle get down, but I guarantee you haven’t seen Andre bust a move like he does in this video!

Andre is a long time fan of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, just like all of us. He’s made several different videos on the subject of the turtles, so if you enjoyed this one, you should check out some of his other work. Few Shellheads are as motivated and hilariously entertaining as he is, so I can’t recommend his work enough. Do yourself a favor and subscribe to his channel, you definitely won’t regret it.

Despite the sadness of losing a member of the TMNT family, we persevere into the future and look back on the past with nostalgia for all the great moments in Ninja Turtle history. Thanks for watching along with us. If you’ve got a video you want to share with your fellow Shellheads, let us know and we might just add it to the Fan Zone!

My name is Justin Wren and I love to write about the TMNT! I've been a big Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles fan since the late 80's. Back then, I would watch the original animated series and play with the Playmates toys all the time. I have been following the boys ever since I was a kid, and I'm very happy to see them back in the limelight after all these years. Needless to say, I'm proud to be a member of the team on this awesome TMNT Fan Site!
