WHOA! : The New TMNT Movie Poster?

We just got an interesting picture of a pretty awesome looking Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles poster and we’re absolutely enthralled. Based on an anonymous tip, we are being told that this is the poster that was used at CinemaCon to promote the film. Some of you may recall that rumors leaked from the convention of a potential name change to the project. While it had originally been titled simply “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles,” Paramount decided last year to change the name to “Ninja Turtles.” However, if rumors are to be believed, when the studio revealed the logo for the film at this convention recently, the full title was shown once more to include the words “Teenage” and “Mutant.”

TMNT Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2014 Poster

With the reveal of this totally radical poster, it would appear that the rumors are true. Not only do we get to see what this new title actually looks like, but this poster also reveals the possible character models for our beloved heroes in a half shell. While many were afraid that they would try to make the characters look a little too much like actual turtles, it would appear that they’ve chosen to stick with a rather familiar design for the TMNT. Needless to say, the title looks pretty familiar, basically falling back on the easily recognizable and well known logo of the past. Donatello, Leonardo, Raphael and Michelangelo all look a little different, but for the most part I’d have to say that these are the guys we are very familiar with.  Their CGI look on the poster looks fascinating!

As you can probably see, the poster features the words “Lean, Green And On The Screen in 2013,” which doesn’t quite match up with the film’s official release date in 2014. As such, we are unsure whether or not this is a new or old poster, or where it fits in with the history of the film’s production. Regardless, it’s cool to get an idea of what the turtles might look like in the new movie and we’re psyched about this awesome poster. What do you think?

–Update–

After further review it has been confirmed the TMNT Poster is fan made. We would like to apologize for misinforming any of our readers.

Looks pretty bad. Obviously fan made.

Got that right, not that I don’t enjoy the 80′s version. I HATE that it’s about NOT reinventing them…it’s cheap to recycle the same old crap for this.

  • Nikko

Actually it looks way too much like the vintage turtles, I think it’s the TV special and not the Michael Bay feature.

  • Sharkmanta

I have enjoyed all incarnations of the Turtles with the exception of The Next Mutation. I really liked how the turtles were portrayed as older and a little more wiser in life in the last movie, TMNT. I hope they don’t regress. I felt that way as the new Nickelodeon series came out but it has toned down the obvious stupids (Jar Jar Binks High Jinks)and has settled into a pretty good story line.

I’m fairly excited about the traditional logo. But still a bit afraid of the outcome of the film. I want this to be the next big thing in TMNT but awfully afraid. I miss the Jim Hensen days. CGI doesn’t excite me as much and leaves my “This could actually be true” element at the door. But we will see…

why does michael bay have to destroy everything. He killed transformers now turtles. Leave them live action you idiot no more CGI crap. You need to retire Michael Bay come up with your own material, reboot, reboot, its still a remake of an original

Watermarks are there for a reason.

    Fan made.

It looks too fake to me. If this animation style is going to stand next to a human being, it’s gonna look unrealistic. If they’re claiming “it’s gonna be put together/filmed like Rise of the Planet of the Apes” then why does this poster look like I’m about to watch an animated movie? Caesar was animated, but he looked like he was standing right next to James Franco.

I agree, this looks way to fan made. Plus their still filming, so they couldn’t have already made the CGI for this poster. But i could be wrong, but still this can’t be the real movie. If you go to the website on the bottom, the guy who made this as a few more ninja turtle pictures. But i still don’t think it’s from the new movie.

    Fan Art.

Too bad it’s only fanart. It just gave us positive hopes that Michael Bay won’t rape our favorite heroes like he did with the Transformers. :(

  • PJ

it looks like a CGI version of the original movie back in the 90s

  • Ryan Starr

I am glad they left the name Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, instead of just Ninja Turtles. I am a huge fan and would suggest this cool website.

      Ryan,

We are happy the name remained as well, too many fans would have been upset. The kind words are appreciated.

      Thank you,

  • DrZedd

Im going to pretend that it is the real poster :)
